From the Pastor’s Desk

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

The love of God is universal, reaching out to everyone. The Holy Bible gives account of God’s love to humanity from the foundation of the world. St. John in his writing defines God as love. Such an affirmation is simple and absolute. Initial knowledge of divine Love begins with opening Sacred Scripture and discovering the Creator who finds joy in his creation. Nonetheless, to enter into this mystery and truly understand it requires more than intellectual knowledge. Authentic knowledge of God is only born in a simple heart that is open and attentive to him. Ulti-mately, this knowledge of God is a personal experience. We are invited today to live the Easter Spirit in calmness and peace. Jesus tells his disciples that He is ready to give them Peace which is everlasting. The peace He gives is much different from the peace that the world will give them. He reassures them that although He is going away from them He will still be with them till the end. Let us try to experience peace in our personal lives.

Queridos hermanos y hermanas:

El amor de Dios es universal, llega a todos. La Santa Biblia da fe del amor de Dios a la humanidad desde el comienzo del mundo. San Juan en sus escrituras define a Dios como amor. Tal afirmación es simple y absoluta. El conocimiento inicial del amor divino comien-za con la apertura de la Sagrada Escritura y descubre al Creador quien encuentra alegría en su creación. Sin embargo, para adentrarse en este misterio y comprenderlo verdadera-mente se requiere algo más que el conoci-miento intelectual. El conocimiento auténtico de Dios nace solamente en un corazón senci-llo que está abierto y atento a él. Finalmente, este conocimiento de Dios es una experiencia personal. Hoy estamos invitados a vivir la el Espíritu de la Pascua en tranquilidad y paz. Jesús dice a sus discípulos que Él está listo para darles una paz que es eterna. La paz que él les da es muy diferente de la paz que el mundo les dará. Él les asegura que aunque se aleje de ellos, estará con ellos hasta el final. Vamos a intentar experimentar paz en nues-tras vidas personales.

Please join us to pray a live rosary on Sunday, May

15th at 11:30 a.m. in the Green area at the corner of

Common St and Hogan St.

Also, we will be praying the rosary and having flower

offering every day from May 2nd to May 14th at

the child is not bap zed, otherwise parents need to

present the bap sm cer ficate or first communion

cer ficate, depending on what sacrament the child

will receive.
