The origin of this fantastic Nazari palace, one of the greatest masterpieces of Arab
art in the world, dating back to a simple fortress built in the ninth century and
called 'AlHamra', "Red" for the color of the earth which had been used in their
construction
Garden of the carmen of the martyrs
The Carmen of the Martyrs is located in the vicinity of the Alhambra, south of the walled enclosure with
just over seven hectares of land known by Christians as the Captives Corral and subsequently Martyrs
Field. Declared Artistic Garden in 1943 (nineteen forty-three)

Royal Hospital. It is illuminated at
night with colorful fountains.
