The African Young Entrepreneurs Project, is

initiated to address the unawareness of and

incapability in entrepreneurship in the youth

population and to promote youth

entrepreneurship as an important source of

innovation and creativity, a solution for

unemployment and poverty, a catalyst for

social and economical development in

Africa.The main objectives of the YES project

are:

To raise awareness of awareness of

entrepreneurship and to develop

entrepreneurial sirit in Ghanaian youth.

To provide theoretical learning and

practical training of knowledge and

skills necessary for establishing

new enterprises.

To guide the generation of business

ideas and to provide financial

support for the immediate

realization of extraordinary

business plans.

To create a platform of exchanging

ideas and collaboration among the

youth.

To create and toprovide access to a

strong network of support for the

next generation of entrepreneurs in

Ghana

YES PROJECT

Job Description

YES Program is to create teams that will support

organizations and /or develop an existing plan to put

it into reality. At the end of the project each team

will have a business plan that includes vision and

objectives to target markets as well as marketing

strategies.

1. Find sponsors for the YES! Project. Sponsors

are needed in order to provide the

necessary financial support to the selected

applicants as well as to account for the

intern related costs (transport, phone calls,

etc.).

2. Market the project to graduating students as

well as graduates. A larger pool of applicants

increases the potential to attract serious

entrepreneurs.

3. Create a list of pre-selection criterions (the

criterions should consider of need of the

student in order to avoid excessive

admission requirements). Once chosen, the

interns will be responsible to collect the

necessary documentation and/or conduct

the necessary interviews in order to select

the students that will have access to the

consultancy service.

4. Provide the necessary consulting service to

the students. The intern will be responsible

to choose the nature and extent of the

service.

5. The intern will provide brief report on short

projects. These will be used for reference for

future teams. Comprehensive reports will be

required of long-term projects as multiple

teams will be necessary to follow through

with the consulting.

6. Each team member will have a speciality

he/she will be expected to implement in the

consulting project.

Concept

AIESEC in Legon represents the

young generation’s effort to fight

against HIV/AIDS while contributes

to strengthen the initiatives of other

organization and governmental

institutions in combating HIV/AIDS

diseases. The ASK Project,

conceived and executed by AIESEC

in Legon aims at equipping young

individuals with the skills and

information required to protect

themselves from getting infected.

The fundamental pillars of ASK are

the following;

Answers to the many questions the

youth have about the pandemic,

Solutions to the problems and

frustrations they are facing and the

Knowledge around the issues of HIV

and AIDS. The project trains peer

educators among the youth who

intend train the people in the

community or their families

Job Description:

Facilitate trainings, strengthening the

clubs in the various schools.

Identify and raise financial partners for

the project as well as identify and

implement other fund raising strategies

for the project.

Organizing and co-coordinating the

activities and ceremonies as well as

develop and coordinate the weekly

training activities in the High Schools with

inputs from the learning partners and the

LC.

Develop and implement and external

communication plan, media and

promotion campaign and identify the

appropriate media partners for the

project.

Volunteer at an NGO or a health center

SWITCH (ICT PROJECT)

Technology is the direction of the global

market and some part of the country is

lagging too far behind in the race to

achieve this. We need this project for

the education of our target audience

and also for the development of our

members who are involved in the

project. Switch is a project that will

enable students to obtain a quality and

relevant education in ICT by

implementing a course designed to

teach technology skills, but always with

an eye towards the use of technology to

enhance the individual’s opportunities,

productivity, job readiness and quality

of life

Objectives

Increase impact of AIESEC Legon in

the area of ICT

To provide information technology

knowledge to some of our high

school youth who may not have

accessibility to the computers up

till an older age.

Providing students with an

exciting, quality and diverse

cultural platform to gain computer

skills while learning about different

cultures and leadership skills.

Job Description

o Helping in raising funds for the project, company

visits.

o Teaching computer skills to students in a high school

in line with Microsoft’s online curriculum,

customizing a curriculum for the teachers for

training students.

o Teach students innovative ways of using computers

inside and outside the classroom.

o Teach teachers in the school computer skills so that

they can take over once the trainees leave and also

establishing a computer club for the students in the

school and the teachers.

o General management: creation of a strategic plan,

coordination of activities and follow-up.

GO GLOBAL PROJECT

Concept

Go Global Project seeks to bring together people from all

walks of life. Our message to the world is that despite one's

religion, ethnicity, beliefs or personality we are all alike in a

lot of ways. We train students on all forms of culture from

all parts of the continent in order to make them globally

oriented and create awareness of their immediate

environment. A day is set aside when we exhibit each others

culture. We learn to dance, eat and talk as someone from

another part of the world would, however, we dress as our

country or tribe does. The peak of the project is a

community talk on environmental cleanliness and its

relevance to our health. It’s all about edutainment!

AFRITOUR is a project geared at opening up the tourism

Sector to reveal its prospects and to create wealth, reduce poverty, promote environment friendly considerations and have a healthy society. Participants shall gain immensely from the project to build and to make choices towards future growth and inspire them to be achievers in the tourism industry. Partners shall gain from all the business opportunities, ideas and other forms of knowledge while at the same time helping in the discovery of talented, skilful and quality human resources potential from schools that such platform offers, especially considering the fact that current global trend revolve around knowledge sharing.

Objective The goal of the project is to raise the attractiveness of tourism In Ghana among the tourists all over the world by means of Creating a unique promotion strategy in the collaboration with The Ghana Tourist Board, international interns and students of higher Institutions.
