Cambodia is located in the southern portion of the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia. Its total landmass is 181,035 square kilometers (69,898 sq mi), bordered by Thailand to the northwest, Laos to the northeast, Vietnam to the east and the Gulf of Thailand to the southwest. The capital city is Phnom Penh. Like most of Southeast Asia, Cambodia’s climate is hot and warm almost all year round. The climate is dominated by the annual monsoon cycle of rainy and dry seasons. Cambodia has a temperature range from 21 to 35 °C (69.8 to 95 °F).

About NC 2014

NATIONAL CONGRESS 2014 is the biggest national conference of AIESEC in Cambodia, to empower members and develop future leaders by: •Inducting new members on AIESEC’s vision, impact model & values •Coaching experienced members (e.g. team leaders, VPs, presidents) on AIESEC’s global LEAD program (learn, engage, activate, deliver) •Review 2013-2014 performance, analyze obstacles & opportunities, and strategize Local Chapter operations for project delivery

Objectives To equip newly recruited members with the right essence, value and relevance of AIESEC before officially starting their life-changing experience as members Maximize AIESEC in Cambodia’s impact on the community and country through various projects Final Sprint for Summer strategies Newbies will get to join and learn the most excited sessions from NC

The surprising events that no one is anticipating of will be happening at the National Congress 2014!!! Not just the knowledge that NC will be deliver to our delegates but the fun party too! Here, we are working hard but we are playing harder!!!

We will be playing our Khmer Traditional Games and dancing to our Traditional songs to celebrate the upcoming Khmer New Year! There are plenty of games to play such as: Clay pot hunting Seducing Brides Dancing Chairs Jumping Stars Bonding Ropes Magno and Frangi and more

We will be celebrating the wonderful Gala Night on the third night of NC! Many exciting events are happening at Gala Night such as Award Ceremony, Special Performances, Dancing and Games to make the night unforgettable!

Conference Hall and Accommodation

Situated on the scenic Mekong River, Blue River Hotel is a 20-minute drive from downtown Phnom Penh and the famous Central Market. It offers an outdoor pool, jacuzzi, and free internet. Rooms at the Blue River feature hardwood floors and city views. Each room has cable TV and a minibar. The private bathrooms are equipped with a bathtub and shower.

Conference Hall and Accommodation

Guests can exercise at the fitness center or relax in the sauna. Other facilities include a 24-hour front desk and a tour desk. Laundry, car rental and currency exchange are available. The hotel also provides free parking and free airport pick-up.

Transportation Local Delegates You are advised to NOT bring your vehicles to the conference since they won’t be no one to look over it when we spend the night at the hotel. We recommended that you should have someone drop you down at Blue River Hotel in the morning of 03rd, and be picked up at the evening of 06th April.

International Delegates You are advised to ARRIVE at the Phnom Penh International Airport in day time of the 02nd April by the latest. We require you should clearly inform us about your arrival information and confirm by our organizing team to pick you up. (All related cost will be covered by the delegates!) *Note: Delegates must arrive at Blue River Hotel at 8AM sharp. Breakfast on the 03rd and Dinner on the 06th are not included in the delegate fee.

Delegates’ Responsibilities

1. You have to obey the rules of the accommodation. 2. You have to be responsible for your vandalism, in appropriate behaviors or disturbance to other delegates or hotel guests. Severe punishments will be given 3. Keep a close eye on your NC delegate name tags. It has to be worn all the time. 4. You are not allowed to be late or skip any session of the conference to ensure that you will live the moment to the fullest and learn everything there is to learn. 5. You are responsible for your own personal belongings. 6. You have to pay your own extra purchases and personal expenses that are not covered by the delegate fee.

Accommodation’s Responsibilities

1. You have to be responsibilities for any extra charges for the use of any kinds of room service. Your delegate fee only covers the basic utilities of your stay. 2. You are responsible for any damages or loss that you have made for any equipment in the hotel (bathrobes, towels, remote controls, TVs…) 3. You are responsible for your own personal belongings meaning both hotel and the organizing committee will not be responsible for any loss of your personal belongings. You are recommended to keep your belongings with you anywhere you go or you can ask one of us, organizing committee, to keep them for you. 4. You are advised not to bring any guest into your room that does not take part in the conference. It is forbidden and against our policy. We will not be responsible for any injuries, loss or damages.
