GRID A
A small grid with baseline bearing 230O mag and picket lines every 100 feet was cut over a mineralized showing. A horizontal loop em survey (1600 Hz., 300 ft. separation) did not indicate a conductor. However, if the mineralization was very local/ a separation of only 100 feet may have yielded an indication.
A vertical component magnetometer survey was also conducted. A tight fold may be indicated.
GRID B
Two overlapping grids with lines every 200 feet were run with baselines bearing at 180O mag and 230O mag. A vertical component magnetometer survey and horizontal loop em survey (1600 Hz., 300 ft. separation) was conducted along the picket lines.
The 2300 baseline grid indicated a very dubious anomaly i.e. line 4E at approximately 4N probably trending with the rocks in the area.
The 180O baseline grid did, however, indicate a weak conductor. Because of the low amplitude and short strike extent, valid estimates of thickness-conductivity and depth of overburden are improbable. An easterly dip is indicated.
Away from the conductor the magnetic anomalies appear to correlate quite well along geological trends. However, in the vicinity of the conductor, the distribution of readings is quite a bit more complex.
