OWEN HALL WEEKLY Keeping you connected. JANUARY 27th, 2012 1 - Go to an MSU Football Game. There is no better way to spend a Fall Saturday then tailgating and football. 2 - See live music. Take advantage of the East Lansing music scene. From our campus groups to famous bands, we have it all. 3 - Canoe on the Red Cedar. A warm Spring day spent on the river is the best way to relieve stress and have fun before everyone leaves for summer. 4 - Study at the Library. Grab some coffee from Sparty’s and dive into your books for an afternoon. (People watching is a great study break.) 5 - Get your picture taken with Sparty! Every true Spartan has a framed picture of themselves with Sparty. It also makes a great Christmas card. 6 - Step foot in every building on campus. Don’t do it all at once, but try to get to every building before your time on campus is up. You will find some very surprising things...like a polar bear! 7 - Feed the ducks and probably the squirrels. Everyone knows the reputation of MSU’s squirrels, but the birds that invade campus during migration are not much better. So get rid of your stale bread and laugh at their antics. 8 - Visit Brody Beach. The first warm day of the Spring semester turns the Brody courtyards into the place to be. Bring your outdoor activities and soak up some sun. 9 - Scream “Go Green” at visiting high school students. It is just fun. 10 - Study Abroad! MSU has one of the largest study abroad programs in the country. You can go anywhere! It was the best summer I ever had, and I wish I had taken advantage of it earlier so I could have gone a few more times. Friday Mission IMPROVable International Center @ 9-11pm Back by popular demand! Join the hilariously outrageous Mission IMPROV team as they perform 2 shows. Free for MSU students and one guest with ID. Saturday Last Spartan Standing International Center @ 9pm See the top MSU comedians perform for a chance to be crowned MSU’s Last Spartan Standing. Doors open at 8:30pm. MSU students with ID and one guest free. Tuesday English Conversation Hour C-9 (Owen Basement) at 7pm Join in the fun.
