The students had the opportuni- ty to explore what is involved when solving crime scenes and were able to solve their own mystery, “Who Broke The Cookie Jar?” Thanks to the nice weather we were able to play a variety of ac- tivities such as Twister, Mummify, and games inspired by Minute- to-Win-it. As we quickly approach our final week we would like to invite you all to our closing ceremony, July 31st, so the students can showcase what they’ve done this summer! The students should arrive at normal time and the parents and family should arrive at 11:00am, anticipating a 12-12:15 dismissal. We would also like to announce a water fight that will take place this Wednesday, July 29th. Please be sure to bring in an extra pair of clothes as well as a water gun! This week in Science the girls pulled DNA from a strawberry, learned about the scientific meth-od, and learned how to create their own volcanoes. In addition, they learned how to create slides and how to look at them through a microscope.

This week for Italian class, the girls learned common Italian words and phrases. Toward the end of this week they paired together and had to have a coversation with one another in Italian. They presented their conversations on Friday.

This week in English they contin-ued reading the Outsiders as well as continuing the creation of their Fake Facebook Profiles. They also learned about the plot diagram and figured out where each event fits into the diagram.

This week in Math the girls cre-ated powerpoints that had what they would buy for school if they had a budget of $100. They had to include discounts and taxes when figuring out how much the would spend. The average for this week remained the same since their pre-assesment was high.
