Catholic Church, nourished by the Holy
Eucharist, guided by the Holy Spirit, empow-
ered by the word of God, and inspired by our
patron saints, St. Joseph, St. David of Wales
and St. Maurice are committed to a deepening
of our relationship with God and the universal
church. We welcome and invite all to use their
time and talent for the good of all God's peo-
ple. Through prayer, worship, sacraments,
evangelization, education and service, our
community will endeavor to spread the good

February 2, 2020 Feast Of The Presentation Of The Lord
Beloved Church Families,
I welcome you back, and I pray that you had a
great week. I know that like I did, you were
shocked by the sad and painful news about the NBA
star Kobe Bryant, his daughter and the other seven
people. Yes, it is sad and painful. Please join me to
pray for the repose of their souls. I also invite you
to join me for a Memorial Mass for them on
Wednesday, February 4th at 6:30 p.m..
My beloved Church families, today the Church
celebrates the feast of the Presentation of the Lord.
After the completion for their purification according
to the law of Moses, Mary and Joseph took Jesus up
to Jerusalem in order to present Him to the Lord.
Today, we come to encounter Jesus as the light into
darkness. Today, we come to bring to Jesus what-
ever that causes us to live into darkness. Today, we
come to worship Jesus who is the light of the world
My friends, there is only ONE: Jesus who was, Je-
sus who is, and Jesus who will be. Yes, there is no
one like Him. When we are weak, He makes us
strong; when we are sad, He brings joy into our
hearts; when we lose faith, He strengthens our faith.
Indeed, since He is the light, we have no fear for He
is always with us. Every weekend, as a family, we
gather to be with Jesus, the light of the world. Let
us call upon Him to continue to bless and guide our
families.
Your pastor wishes you a week filled with many
of God’s blessings, a week filled with peace, joy,
and happiness.
With deep love and admiration,
Truly yours
Very Rev. Oswald P. Pierre-Jules, Jr., S.S.J., V.F.

Day of Silence on Social Media, February 8, 2020. On
this day we will again be going Silent on Social Media
with the theme: “Don’t post…pray!” For 24 hours, be-
ginning at 12 midnight on February 8, do not use your
social media for viewing or posting until midnight on
February 9th. Traffickers often use social media to ex-
ploit their victims. Buyers often use social media to pur-
chase victims. Let’s go silent in solidarity with those
who are being victimized and as a sacrifice to offer for
all involved in Human Trafficking. “Like” the Respect

dates for February 8th. https://www.facebook.com/
