Sports for All AgesYouth Basketball League: Our co-ed youth basketball leagues are for children 7-10 and 11-13. Children learn the basics of basketball in a warm and inviting environment.

Tiny Tots Sports of all Sorts: Help your 3-5 year old develop motor skills and a love for physical activity in this great program. Parents are encouraged to participate as your child plays soccer, basketball, baseball and more! Class meets Saturday afternoons.

McTrib Running Clubs: Enjoy all the benefits of running with the McTrib Running Club! Tuesday nights will dedicate to our family fun run club and Thursday nights will be our intermediate/advanced runners club. Join one or both!

Men's Basketball League: This Saturday evening league is a competitive league that is great for anyone wanting to challenge their skills. Ages 18+

Child CareSchool's Out Program No school, no worries. The YMCA offer on-site programming for school age children. Program hours, 7:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Children need to be in by 9:00 a.m. Breakfast, lunch and a snack are provided. Registration is open to ALL CPS Private school children. Activities include: physical activities, crafts, sports and fields trip.

Off - Site After School Programs McCormick Tribune offers off-site before/after school programs at the following CPS schools;

• Drummond Montessori

• Suder Montessori

• A.N. Pritzker

• Franklin Fine Arts

• Pulaski International School

• Brentano School

School-Age/Headstart Program - On site at the YMCA (Ages 2-12) The McCormick Tribune YMCA is a licensed child-care provider for working families who need after-school care for their children. The services offered include an option of free 10-month, half-day Head Start or a full-day Headstart which is year-round. Our rates are based on household income. We do accept AFC certificates. Our School Age Program is year-round and provides transportation from designated schools. A Family Membership is included for qualifying families with children enrolled in our programs. Limited slots are available.

Active Green SpaceThe McCormick Tribune YMCA's Active Green Space seeks to impact health and wellness with a focus on childhood obesity and diabetes in the Logan Square, Humboldt Park and Hermosa neighborhoods of Chicago. Our hybrid space includes:

• Meditation space

• Vegetable and herb garden

• Physical area stage

• Education area

• Butterfly garden

• Compost Area

Martial Arts AcademyAikido Ages 12+Students will learn self defense techniques against attackers armed with a knife and empty handed. Improve physical conditioning and gain confidence in self-defense maneuvers. Mentally and physically learn how to relax under pressure.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Bi: Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu is a martial art and self-defense system that concentrates on grappling and ground fighting. BJJ stresses leverage and technique to control an opponent on the ground. Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a great workout and fun for the whole family.

Intro To Kung Fu Ages 18+ Participants will learn aspects of four kung fu systems including; Tai Chi, Shaolin, Hsing I and Praying Mantis. Some of these ancient Chinese arts have a history of over 1000 years.

Tai Chi Tai chi BI Ancient Chinese Meditation and Marital Art with a Thousand year history. All ages welcome.

Karate is a great way for children to stay in shape and have fun. Marital arts are shown to build confidence, boost self-esteem, manage stress and instill discipline.

Cardio Kick Boxing Ages 16+ Kick-boxing drills with boxing techniques are involved in this incredible work-out for the entire body. Members Free

Hatha Yoga Ages 16+ This class is for every person and every body type as well as an excellent compliment to any athletic training. Andrea will take you through postures and breathing techniques and complete your session with relaxation. Aerobics Studio Members Free

NIA Ages 13+ NIA is a path to condition, heal and express yourself through movement and sensation. NIIA is a dynamic blend of dance arts, martial arts and healing arts.

Silver Sneakers Yoga Stretch will move your whole body through a complete series of seated and standing yoga poses. Chair support is offered to safely perform a variety of postures designed to increase flexibility, balance and range of movement. Restorative breathing exercises and a final relaxation will promote stress reduction and mental clarity.
