Build a Tiny House
Enroll for FREE!Enroll for FREE!Eligible students can enroll in the Construction Academy for FREE through scholarship and fi nancial assistance opportunities. To secure funding, students should register early and apply for fi nancial assistance. Scholarships are awarded as long as funding is available.
Individuals interested in exploring and developing careers in construction can enroll in the Construction Academy to obtain hands-on training.
The program will include training in:• Air conditioning, heating, and
refrigeration• carpentry• plumbing• electrical• masonry, and other trade
essentials.
SCC’s Construction Academy will train students as they work towards building a Tiny House.
The Academy is perfect for individuals interested in gaining the skills they need to join the workforce, starting their own business, or for individuals looking for personal enrichment classes.
At the end of the Tiny House build, the college will sell the house to an interested buyer and the funding will be used to support future construction academy building projects.
