7 Events & Dates: This has been another special week of hard work, heart work, and sharing in the joy of the Gospel together! So many students were celebrated after Chapel for outstanding hard work in their classes for the 2 nd Quarter, congratulations Rockets! We welcomed so many families to come and visit at our Open House who were blessed to see our Rockets in action! Our quick safety drill Thursday was done beautifully with excellent listening and following directions by every student in every class! Students in K-8 kicked off their Winter Screening in STAR Reading and Math, showing what they know! This Monday, we enjoy an extra day of rest and reflection as there is no school, for Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Did you know some of the similarities between Martin Luther King Jr. and Martin Luther? Not only did they create big change in civil rights and religion, respectively, but they also faced great adversity, and fought to follow God’s Will. May God bless us abundantly as we, too, seek to follow God’s Will in our lives! “I still believe that standing up for the truth of God is the greatest thing in the world. This is the end of life. NATIONAL LUTHERAN SCHOOLS’ WEEK We’re JOY:FULLY celebrating being a part of a Lutheran School family for a whole week! Check out the attachment for the special dress days, themes, events and more and we cannot wait to have you come and join in on the fun! “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16

Prayer Corner:

Don’t forget, the parent prayer group that meets

each week is on Friday mornings at RRLS right

after drop-off. You are always welcome!

This week we pray over Australia and Puerto Rico

that God would bless those lands with healing

and protection from all calamity. We also pray

over the young families and babies who will be

blessed by our offerings with the Cleveland

Pregnancy Center as we honor life and share

the love of Jesus together.

2 Preschool Corner:

Dear Preschool Families, We have had a wonderful week full of hands-on experiences and educational activities, related to dinosaurs, penguins, and more! Chapel this week focused on the story of Nebuchadnezzar (your child practiced saying that LONG name!), and how he learned of God, after seeing our Lord save three men from burning fire. Our students really enjoyed the message, and even learned a new song, “God Is With

Us!”

Please be sure to note the upcoming festivities during Lutheran Schools week. Check out page 3 of the Countdown. As we are excited to celebrate God’s

work among our schools together with you!

Parent, do not forget to send your child in weather appropriate clothing. We do try and get outside as weather permits, to get some fresh air, and even enjoy

the snow.

I hope you have a blessed long weekend!
