Evaluation Question 6 - What Kind of Media Institution Might Distribute Your Media and Product and Why?

Publishing

• For the publisher of my magazine I have researched the publishers of real magazines so that I can find out what kind of media institution might distribute my magazine. The company that owns vibe and the is Spin Media. I believe that since vibe is very similar to my magazine genre then this would be the perfect publisher.

• SpinMedia (is a company and blog network based in Los Angeles. It owns a community of pop culture websites (with over 40 million unique monthly

visitors), including VIBE. SpinMedia operates over 40 pop culture related websites, some of which it owns.

• SpinMedia is the publisher of vibe and other magazines of all different genres and I would choose spin media as the publisher of my magazine as VIBE was one of the most successful magazines and it is also a similar genre to mine.

Distribution

• My magazine would be distributed as a physical copy and would be published inside popular magazine, book and entertainment shops such as WH Smith, Waterstones and

• HMV as theses are popular places for magazines and music magazines to be distributed at. Also another place where magazines are often distributed is at popular supermarkets such as Asda and Tesco.
