SaySubjects & syllabus are more from academic perspective rather than practitioner perspective

Methodology are not flexible enough to adapt to the changing circumstances

All subjects are given equal importance irrespective of their present need in industry

Teaching methodology followed is quite outdated like manual (pen & pencil) methodology for machine design, no use of CAD techniques which is prevalent in the industry

No industrial guest lecture as such to get an insight about industry’s requirements

Most of the projects are academic rather than Industrial Live Projects

DoDiscuss about my career options with teachers, alumni

Proactively contact industry experts to get an insight about the requirements & how can I get these skills

Participate in college’s industrial societies to get the chance of implementing academic knowledge

As industry gives due emphasis on interpersonal skills along with technical skills, attend certain workshops for the improvement of the same

Try to improve CV by participating & winning in a number of All India Inter-college competition

ThinkIndustrial Live Projects plays a crucial role in proving employability to the companies after the graduation

Balanced perspective from both academics & practitioner is needed

Knowledge needs to continuously updated as per changes in the market

With increased competition due to globalization, companies are becoming more demanding from applicants as far as employability is concerned

Companies don’t want to train employees, they want a employee whom they can directly onboard to work

FeelCommunication skills supersedes technical skills in getting into world class MNCs

Urgent need to change the evaluation criteria in college and make it more practice oriented rather than theory oriented

More companies should go for conducting competition as a criteria to select students rather than taking just an interview & written exam

Proper guidance should be provided to them to make them aware about the expectation from the industry

Teachers are more inclined towards making students more interested in higher studies
