21- SourceIn EMT simulation, all the sources can be represented as the equivalent circuit which has the ideal voltage source and Thevenin impedance called External Grid.Characteristics of External Grid are short-circuit level, system voltage.

5- Surge ArresterMetal Oxide Surge Arresters is used to reduce the Basic Insulation Level (BIL) required for electrical equipment by limiting the transient overvoltage draining the lightning current to ground.Protection characteristics is defined by a high non-linear residual voltage-discharge current curve.
