Dear Parishioners: Once again we are celebrating Christmas, the great birthday of Jesus. I would like to share with you the hidden values that we see in each letter of the word CHRISTMAS. C=Charity: It is the time to love everyone and help each other. H=Humility: God humbled himself and came to dwell among us. It is an invitation to humble ourselves. R=Respect: Respecting one another at home and in the society will bring real har-mony. When we respect others we will be respected. I= Intimacy: It is time to think about my intimate relationship with God and one an-other. S=Sanctity: The sanctity of Mother Mary enabled her to be Mother of God. God is calling us to live a sanctified life. T=Transparency: There was no secret in the life of Jesus. He did everything in public and for the public faithfully. The transparency without any mask will help us to act and speak freely to create a just society. M=Merciful: Merciful God sent His son to save us. Though we are sinners and un-worthy to have him, God’s mercy is remarkable. Let us also show mercy to others re-gardless of their merit. A= Availability: Jesus was available to all those in need, in sickness, hunger and even in death. In the same way we need to be available to all who are in need. S=Service: Virgin Mary as soon as she received the Good News went in haste to serve Elizabeth. We also should be ready to serve others immediately. Service is to be extended to others not according to my convenience but at the need of others. Be at the service of others generously. Therefore let the CHRISTMAS and this holy season help us to practice these values and make it a meaningful celebration. May the NEW YEAR resolutions make a big dif-ference in my life bringing peace and harmony in the whole world! Fr. Antony and I wish you a Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year, 2018! Fr. Kavungal Davy, CMI

Padre Kavungal Davy, CMI

Fourth Sundy of Advent Prayer

Almighty, eternal, just, and merciful God, give us miserable ones the grace to do for You

alone what we know you want us to do, and al-ways to desire what pleases You. Inwardly

cleansed, interiorly enlightened and inflamed by the fire of the Holy Spirit, may we be able to fol-low in the footsteps of Your beloved Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, and by Your grace alone,

may we make our way to You, Most High, Who live and rule in perfect Trinity and simple Unity,

and are glorified God almighty, forever and ever.

Amen.

A Christmas Prayer

Jesus, the Light of the World, as we celebrate your birth . . . . may we begin

to see the world in the light of the under-standing you give us.

As you chose the lowly, the outcasts, and the poor to receive the greatest

news the world had ever known, so may we worship you in meekness of heart.

May we also remember our brothers and sisters less fortunate than ourselves in

this season of giving.

Amen.
