What is Pemberton Music Festival?

0 It is a three-day summer music festival which began in 2008 and is held in Pemberton, BC.

0Cancellation of shows until present were due to scheduling issues and bands dropping out, NOT because of violence or public nuisances.

Where is the festival held?

0 It is held at Sunstone Ranch in Pemberton, BC.

0A choice of walking, parking, or taking a shuttle, camping, or lodges are available for the festival.

What’s this year’s festival going to be like?

0The music festival takes place Friday, July 18 through Sunday July 20, with nearly 100 scheduled performances on five stages (three concert stages, one dance tent, and one comedy tent).

Where will I stay?/How will I get to the venue?

0 I will be staying with Jen at her place in Whistler along with both her parents and a couple of Jen’s friends

0Obviously, you will talk to Jen’s mom and dad about accommodations and whatnot.

0Both her parents will be up taking us to and from the shuttle and staying at their place in Whistler. (See, parents + organized rides = responsibility!)

Who will I be there with?

0Being the responsible young adult I am, I have made a list of people I will be attending this festival with.

How will I be paying for my ticket?

0 I am currently looking into jobs that I will be applying to work for.

0 Pemberton Festival offers a brilliant thing called a payment plan. Over the course of the next three months, they split up the amount of the ticket into three payments.

1. First Installment: CA$129.34 plus fees paid at the time of purchase as downpayment

2. Second Installment: CA$129.33 paid on May 5th, 20143. Third Installment: CA$129.33 paid on June 9th, 2014

What will I wear?

0Some music festivals may be notorious for girls in scantily clad outfits, but since this is a concert where families actually go, it won’t be as bad of dressing as Coachella, for example (which I will go to one day hehe).

0As your daughter, I will promise you that I will not frolic around the venue in nothing but a thong and pasties. I will be weather and age appropriate, following the three C’s: Cute, Comfortable, & Classy

How will I stay safe?0 Fun fact: no deaths or accidents have occurred at this festival.

1. Since we are not camping there, safety just went up by 110% (because even I am not that dumb).2. I will wear a fanny pack containing my phone (to take pictures and connect with you, of course),

sunglasses, water bottle, rain poncho, etc. I will also wear that thing Dad (shoutout to Papa J!) bought for Brazil: the neck wallet.

3. We will have a meeting spot if we ever get lost or for meeting up at the end of the day with her aunt and uncle.

4. I will not take anything from a stranger (food, drink, drugs, etc.). You can’t stop me from talking to people though, because concert goers are actually really nice people who like the same music as you. Obviously I will not talk to creepy men and will get away from them if I feel uncomfortable.

5. I will avoid a mosh pit (if there even is one) because, well, it’s obvious.6. I will stay with people I know and am comfortable with, like Jen, Kenzi, Van, etc. The guys, especially,

will protect me and make me feel safer.7. I will not hook up with random guys, unless a) one of my friends has a cute guy friend who likes the

same music as me and is a sweetie or b) Frank Ocean pulls me onstage.8. I will text you throughout the day and call you whenever I got back to Jen’s place. I’d also send you

photos of how much fun I’d be having, duh.9. The festival doesn’t give out booze to underage people, so I will not be drinking.10. There are cops, security, and staff everywhere for everyone’s safety and well being.

So… can I go?
