I started writing synopsis for the back covers of Ed. Quaderns Crema’s books when I was 19, but soon I left to work for a cultural magazine called Ajoblanco. There I published my first articles and acquired experience enough to be sent to London as a correspondent. One year later, back in Barcelona, I started translating from English to Catalan after obtaining the Proficiency Certificate at the American Studies Institute. I adapted serials, documentaries and films for the public channel (TV3) and kept on writing, this time for pop-rock magazines.

In 2000 I’ve founded Urgencias Literarias helped by two partners. One of them knew how to write good ads, so I did my firsts attempts learning with real fire: short copy, naming and ad translation. Our most important clients included the top business school in Barcelona, ESADE, the public television, TV3, and a private bank from Andorra, Andbanc. The rest of the projects were done in collaboration with renowned agencies and studios like LOWE LINTAS FMRG, SCPF, or SUMMA COMUNIACIÓ.

By 2004, the group Addgrupo hired me as a senior creative copywriter. It was a reasonably big company and I had the chance to organize my own creative teams, with whom I’d put into practice new ideas for internal, non commercial projects when there was a few spare time between briefing and briefing. That experience would be extremely useful when working as creative director some years later.

But in 2008 the big crisis forced almost everyone to freelance again. I worked for Switzerland and Belgium creating the brands Victor Hunt and Südhang, translating brandbooks for Added Value and helping local companies, like Collaborabrands, to plan their online reputation. I joined the World Writers in 2009 and in 2010 started at Morrsion Ave as a Creative Director.

At Morrison we specialized in highly immersive, interactive and social campaigns. Mango and Torres wines are just little good examples of what we did.

Now I’m trying to prepare a new Ajoblanco. Same principles, new mediums. While gathering a good team and finding the resources I transcreate and adapt to my local market the international campaigns managed by World Writers.
