DIOS SE REVELA A LAS NACIONES

¡Qué maravillosas imágenes tenemos hoy del Reino de Dios! Isaías nos habla de un gran banquete –un banquete celestial– una fiesta con abundancia de platillos suculentos y vinos exquisitos. Es una celebración del mismo Señor, explica Isaías, cuando Dios unirá a todas las naciones, secará toda lágrima, y destruirá la muerte para siempre. Entonces, también, la tierra entera se regocijará en el Señor y se deleitará en la gracia salvadora de Dios. Jesús, asimismo, habla del Cielo en términos de una fiesta. Aquí, el Reino de los cielos es como el banquete de bodas que el rey ofrece para su hijo. Es también un festín de abundancia, donde ofrece terneros gordos. Pero muchos de los invitados no quieren asistir, así que el rey invita a cualquiera que quiera honrar a su hijo con su presencia. GOD REVEALED TO THE NATIONS

What wonderful images we have today of the reign of God! Isaiah speaks to us of a great feast—a heavenly feast—a feast of abundance with rich foods and choice wines. It is the Lord’s own affair, Isaiah explains, when God will unite all nations, dry every tear, and destroy death forever. Then, too, will the entire earth rejoice in the Lord and bask in God’s saving grace. Jesus speaks of heaven in terms of a feast as well. Here, the kingdom of heaven is likened to a king’s wedding feast given for his son. This is a feast of abundance also, with the fattened cattle prepared just so. But many of the people invited don’t want to come, so the king invites anyone who would honor his son by their presence there. And Paul tells us that whether we live abundantly or in humble circumstances, we can do all things in the Lord who strengthens us. © Copyright, J. S. Paluch Co.

Queremos animar a ustedes nuestros feligreses considerar

participar en algún ministerio. (1) El numero de ministros disminuye

por edad y enfermedad; (2) recordar que no somos nosotros los que los

llamamos sino Dios mismo. Necesitamos Ministros Extra

Ordinarios de la Comunión como también ministros de la Palabra en

todas las misas. Pedimos la ayuda de jóvenes como monaguillos para todas las misas. Si tiene algunas

preguntas, llame para contestarles la pregunta y poder prepararlos.

Ministers Needed!

We want encourage you, our parishioners, to consider assisting in a Ministry. (1) The number of our present ministers are declining

due to age and illness; (2) remember, it isn’t us who call you

to serve but, God himself! We need Extra Ordinary Ministers of Holy

Communion as well as ministers of the Word also at all masses. We

need the help of our youth to serve as altar servers at all masses. If you have questions, please call so that

we may put you at ease and prepare you for a ministry.

"You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and

bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that

whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may

give to you. John 15:16

Stolen Goose Penitent: Father, I have stolen a fat goose from a poultry yard! Priest: That is very wrong. Penitent: Would you like to accept it, Father? Priest: Certainly not- return it to the man whom you stole it from. Penitent: But I have offered it to him and he won't have it. Priest: In that case you may keep it yourself.
