Children Educational Center

Semos Education’s Children department exists since 1998 offering different contents and programs. Since that day till now the department was growing and transforming in Children Educational Center with wide range of courses which deliver to the children quality knowledge for the IT area. For the 17 years of existing of the children educational center, 5000 student passes through our trainings.

Children educational center is dedicated to creating system for non-formal education for children and teenagers which gives quality, thorough and applicable knowledge and skills for the IT, Art and other educational areas. This system is adjusted on different needs and interest of the attendants. Children Educational Center constantly follows new informatics technologies and pedagogical and psychological educational theories which is the basic for upgrading and improving its programs.

Children Educational Center’s courses and programs are intended for children and teenagers from 8 to 15 years of age.

Principles and methods on which the teaching is installed:

Our idea and final goal is to point out the main purpose of the computer and to teach children to use it properly. Completing that goal means that computer will be factor of positive influence on the children education and development.

Every year our students won medals on national and international Informatics competition;

Children Educational Center support and organizes preparation trainings for the State Informatics competition.

Children Educational Center respects all factors which has influence and has an important role in children’s education. Parents are one of the most important factor and because of that principle of the triangle > children-teacher-parent is one of the most important principles on what our education is based.

Basic computer courses

For teaching children of proper use of the computer which is our main goal, all knowledge should be based on a professional foundation, starting with basics information and upgrading with advanced knowledge. With these courses children will gather basics knowledge

and skills for working with computers, skills that will be useful for them in everyday life no matter what they do with the computer. The contents of these courses are integrated with the programs of the elementary and secondary school.

The students will learn about OS, and they will gather knowledge for the newest OS WINDOWS 7.

Children will learn about most used and most needed applications like MS Word 2010, MS Excel 2010 and MS Power Point 2010. With these applications they will know how to format text, to create and save documents, graphs, to calculate and how to make a good presentation. All this skills and knowledge are needed now and they will help children in learning and presenting of gathered knowledge in regular school.

Through this program, children gather knowledge and skills which are useful in everyday life no matter in what purpose and how they use the computer. Not only Internet Explorer is included but also children will learn how to surf on Internet, how to search for information, to read and send e-mails and how to communicate online.

Children will learn about core of the computers, and the accent is put on the service programs which are inevitable part of the installed software. This program teach children about functioning of some computer‘s components and develop skills for independently installing applications, and how to use these applications and in general to be trained for independently maintain the computer.

Children with these programs gather knowledge and develop skills for different software application, but also they develop their creativity. They can choose different programs from different areas, but its recommended first of all to learn one of the courses which are part of the graphic design.

Illustrator is a program that offers a creative freedom in fulfilling all ideas in an efficient way. It turns the raster graphics into vectors and makes the drawing innovative. The tight integration with other Adobe applications enables you to deliver your ideas in print, web, video… By using this program; you can prepare logos, posters, ads or anything else for print and web.

The course is created for graphic designers, web designers and others who would like to work with design, regardless of its use (printing or online publishing). The course is divided in modules with practical exercises according to the Adobe program.

School for design and animation

This program is designed for students who have affinities for graphic design or design in general. This program offers opportunities for learning the applications which are designed for graphic design, but also for web design. Here we offer two courses: Adobe Illustrator CS6 and Adobe Photoshop CS6, which can be learn in package but also independently one from another, depending of the interest and needs of the students.

In this course you will be acquainted with the basics of Adobe Flash as well as the basic concepts of interactive web design. You will also be introduced to the language of Flash, Action Script. The course is held through classroom lectures, exercises and practical work.

With this course you will not just learn how to use Adobe Dreamweaver but also how to use this powerful tool for creating good and useful web sites.

Meanwhile you will be studying the web theory and practicing web creation. The course is held through classroom lectures, exercises and practical work.

This program is designed for students who want to try in Web design, students who not only want to be passive users of Internet, but want to create part of it. Courses offers opportunities for thorough knowledge for applications Adobe Flash CS6 and Adobe Dreamweaver CS6, but through classes, students will develop their creativity. Courses can be visited in package but also independently one from another.

Web design


After Effects is most commonly used for digital post-production of movies, animated graphics, multimedia web and video content. The application provides use and combination of sophisticated audio and visual effects, as well as animation of objects and effects. This application contains numerous 2D and 3D tools for composition and animation.

3D Studio Max Design is a program that works in three-dimensional space. It enables the creation of 3D graphics – pictures and animations. The numerous integrated effects make the creation of special video clips, very easy.

This program is designed for children and young people who have interest and want to try in 2D and 3D animation, in preparing of multimedia projects, for children who want to give to their graphic design a new dimension – movement, and also they can try in producing their own videos. This package offers two applications which can be visited also independently one from another: Adobe After Effects CS6 and 3D Studio Max 2012.

Sound Forge includes all the tools needed for sound editing and processing and it’s the professional audio software for your computer. Recording live vocals and instruments, developing and processing them using studio quality effects. Students will be able to create their own karaoke songs, to process their own music and with few steps to get a quality audio materials.

The program is intended for students who want to learn about basics of sound audio processing, editing and mounting music. Students will gather with basics skills and knowledge about the audio signal, creating music and its practical use. Creativity for vocal expression, recording any sound and its development are the main topics of this program. We start with one of the best software packages for sound processing - Sony Sound Forge.

While learning Visual Basic you gain knowledge of the programming language Visual Basic for Application which is integrated in all products of Microsoft Office.

The goal of the course “Programming in C++” is student to learn and to get the basics of program languages as tool for solving problems in the real world. After finishing the course student will have skills for the real problem to find an algorithm with which they will solve the problem and to implement that in the program language C++. Student will have knowledge for the developing area in program language C++, and will know its syntaxes and semantics. They will learn basic and advanced techniques for programming and to use them in creating more complexes projects and in programming contests.

Art Programs

This course is offering theoretical and practical experience about photography, and with that experience your photographs will be different from ones made by your friends. You will gather knowledge about history of photography since the first type of Camera Obscura till today’s digital photo cameras, about different types of cameras, modes of operation. Function of the aperture and exposure, composition and aesthetics of photography. Analogy and digital photography and difference between them. Theory of lights and colours, etc. The course gives opportunities for field work where knowledge gathered on the classes can be implemented in practical work. At the end of the course, an exhibition will be organized where the most successful photographs will be exposed.
