For the financial year ended 31 December 2008, the Directors have recommended a final cash dividend of 25% less 25% income tax ("Proposed Final Cash Dividend") and the distribution of share dividend on the basis of one (1) Public Bank Berhad ("PBB") treasury share listed and quoted as "Local" on the Main Board of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad for every thirty-five (35) ordinary shares of RM1.00 each held in PBB, fractions of treasury shares to be disregarded ("Proposed Share Dividend"). Subject to shareholders' approval, the Proposed Final Cash Dividend will be paid on 11 March 2009, and the Proposed Share Dividend will be credited into the Depositor's Securities Account on 11 March 2009, to Depositors whose names appear in the Record of Depositors as at the close of business on 2 March 2009.
