MJRC Approach
• Every participant is bound by the NSWRU Code of Conduct http://www.nswrugby.com.au/Portals/35/NSWRugby/documents/2015/Manual%20(v5).pdf– Players– Officials (Coaches, Managers, Referees)– Parents and spectators
• MJRC is proud to support a positive and encouraging approach to playing rugby. The club will not tolerate participants who do not demonstrate a similar approach to the game.
• MJRC expects that every coach and manager will adhere to the code of conduct and ensure that our parents and spectators support the game in a positive fashion.
• If you find it difficult to have a conversation with a spectator about their behaviour, engage the ground marshall.
Behaviour Expectations

• 31 Mar/2 Apr Round 1 SJRU commences
• 7/9 Apr Round 2 SJRU
• 15, 22 Apr NO GAMES (School holidays)
• 28 Apr Round 3 SJRU
• 5 May Jeans & Jersey
• 6 May March Past – Tahs v Blues @ Allianz
Key Dates
• Every player is part of a run-on side
• Every player has a turn of starting on the bench
• Sub-rotations are done equally by the clock (flexibility for injuries)
• Managers are responsible for rotations, time keeping and recordings
• Managers to email AGCs recording sheet each week
Rotation Participation System
• Concussion is a brain injury and must be taken seriously
• Children and adolescents are more susceptible
• Management of concussion by the 6 Rs:
– RECOGNISE
– REMOVE
– REFER
If concussion diagnosed:
– REST
– RECOVER
– RETURN
Concussion
• All Coaches and Managers MUST be aware of the Concussion Policy. See “Playing Info” on website
– Minimum 24 hours between stages
– Player MUST have a medical certificate to recommence contact training
– Players Under 18 CANNOT return to contact training OR playing for a minimum of 19 days after all symptoms have gone
• Any suspected concussion in Minis to be notified to Minis Coordinator immediately, with follow up notification of diagnosis.
Concussion
• Communications & Contact point. Link between team and AGC
• Know SJRU Competition Rules. Two key components:– Ensure your team complies; and– Make sure your opposition complies
• Assist coach on game day– Manage subs so every player gets equal time– Player welfare
• Parent roster for jobs – refs / oranges / etc
• Coordinate setup, ground marshalling and pack away when your team is rostered on
• Strongly recommend you use TeamStuff app to help you in your role
Role of Managers
• Referees– ALL issues with referees, whether home or away, to be
directed to me– I will then manage as appropriate– Refer also SJRU Competition Rules
• Grounds– New storeroom at Rawson
• Exclusive to Juniors• KEEP IT TIDY. We will know who was last there!
– Extra equipment available by request from Seniors operating the BBQ
– Use of Rawson• High intensity drills off the field of play
– Plenty of space both east and west– Use field for team runs only
