MONEY MATTERS ...... GOOD NEWS AHEAD At its first meeting this year, the committee considered a new approach to our subscription and Exhibition fee, With a view to removing any impediment for members exhibiting their work, and to reward those who support our exhibitions regularly, it was decided to increase the annual subscription and abolish the exhibition fees. This results in a substantial 33% reduction in the total fees paid annually by those who maximally support our exhibitions. A secondary effect is to simplify the Society’s accounting procedures. You will receive the full details of the new fee structure, that will apply from 1st July.2014, with the 2014-‐15 Subscription Invitation due will be sent out shortly by email or post.
WEATHERING THE WINTER MONTHS... After our next Tuesday demonstration with Fiona Greenhill we have our July winter break during which we closet ourselves in our studios and homes to create artistic masterpieces and flex our creative muscles in our chosen ways. Only the Plein Air Group will meet on 7 July, but the venue chosen is just next door to the hot tea/coffee facilities of the Mosman Rower’s Club. There is no better painting site on a sunny winters morning. Our next Tuesday night meeting is on 19 August when we are looking forward to a visit by Judith White. That is not to be missed. The following month on 16 September we look forward to a demonstration from Lesley O’Shea, another must see.
MORE ON THE PLEIN AIR GROUP
Last month at Chinaman’s Beach was an all time record with 16 members present. We had the whole area to ourselves and the weather was absolutely perfect. If you wish to register your interest in attending, then email or phone Gerald Christmas on 9960 1005 and you will receive a reminder email a few days before with location and transport details.
