St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School Pinjarra Newsletter

26 June 2014 Volume Six, Issue Ten Week 9 Term 2

Our Vision We at St Joseph’s Catholic School Pinjarra, seek to create a God centred environment where each school community member is

nurtured spiritually, academically, socially and physically.

For the last few weeks, ‘Love’ has been our school

focus for the ‘Fruits of the Holy Spirit’ program.

St Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthian 13: 8, 13 that:

“Love never ends…Now these three endure:

faith, hope and love,

but the greatest of these is love’.

Dear Parents, Caregivers, and Community Members,

As this will be my last newsletter before the holidays, please take care on the roads and enjoy your family

time together. A reminder that school commences on Monday, 21st July and the children remain in their

full winter school uniform. A copy of the uniform requirements is attached with the newsletter. Please

ensure that sports shoes are predominantly white, as there appears to be some children who are not

complying with our standards. If you have any problems sourcing the correct shoes, please contact the

office and/or the uniform shop.

Reports will be sent home tomorrow (Friday) and parent interviews are ongoing. If you have not contacted

your child’s classroom teacher to confirm your time, please leave a message with the office.

Due to system requirements, I have been out of the school for quite a few days over the last three weeks,

fortunately these commitments have now been completed and the remainder of the year looks

considerably better! I am always available for contact via email or phone, so should you need to see me,

please let the office know and Christine will organise it.

Another reminder that Kindergarten interviews will be commencing shortly, please ensure you have filled

out the forms if you will be sending a younger sibling to us and also remind people who may be thinking of

sending their child to us that they can download the enrolment form from our website. I will commence

interviews next week and continue with some during the holidays.

Last Friday we ran our very successful Cross Country and, although I was unable to attend, by all accounts

the students, staff and families worked together to make it an outstanding success – despite the terrible

ground conditions. Congratulations to the place winners:
