COMMUNITY Youth Fall Celebration: Join us

tonight, Nov. 3, from 6-8 p.m. at the Wolfe's house.

Bring a drink to share and a lawn chair. Chili,

bonfire, hayrides and more. Text 913-636-9230 for

address.

Middle School: Middle Schoolers, join us from 6:15

-8 p.m. on Wed., Nov. 6 in the Fishtank for dinner followed by packing Operation

Christmas Child Boxes.

Thank you for supporting youth missions last weekend at the Pancake Breakfast

Fundraiser! We raised more than $2,000 that will help send our high schoolers to

Canada and our middle schoolers to the Ozarks next summer for mission work.

Journey to Bethlehem is Sunday, Dec. 15 (3 – 8 p.m.).

Stop by the table in the foyer this morning to sign up. We’re

recruiting actors, marketplace vendors, hospitality positions and

more.

WE NEED YOUR BEAUTIFUL VOICE! Christmas at COMMUNITY is right

around the corner and we are looking to fill our choir loft with the biggest choir

we’ve ever had at COMMUNITY to help us tell the story of Jesus’ coming! Our

choir will be featured in both services on December 22nd

and it’s not too late to

join. There are two opportunities for you to come and practice with us:

Wednesdays at 6:30 pm and Sundays at 6:00 pm. All vocal abilities are welcome!

Whether you can read music proficiently or have never sung in a choir before.

COME AND SING WITH US!

Operation Christmas Child, a church wide project,

provides the opportunity for children around the world to

experience the love of Jesus. Our shoebox packing party

is Nov. 6. Find out how to get involved at the table in the

foyer or by contacting Janet Loos. Thank you for your

heart for sharing the Gospel in third world countries.

CCC will serve the evening meal at CUM Family

Center on Sunday, Nov. 3. If you would like to

provide food or help serve, please contact Sue

Langseth, [email protected], or (913)749-6410.

Women’s Heart Health – Sunday, Nov. 10, 9:45 a.m., join us

in the Fishtank to discuss women’s heart health. We’ll address

our heart from a spiritual perspective and then talk about

symptoms of heart disease and what you can do to keep your

heart healthy. Invite a friend and join us.

Join us for coffee and

updates today at 9:45 a.m. in the

Coffee Gallery.

Coffee with the

Leadership Team

Connecting to COMMUNITY Class (membership class): Join us today, Nov. 3,

from 12:15-3:30 p.m. to learn more about COMMUNITY and how you can become

a ministry partner. We'll explore the Evangelical Covenant Church affirmations and

talk about the mission/vision of COMMUNITY. This isn't just about becoming

a "member" of the church. You'll also get the chance to explore how you are

uniquely gifted to participate in the work God has called COMMUNITY to do here

in Lenexa and around the world - to become a ministry partner. Lunch provided.

Please join Troop 123 for their Eagle Scout Court of Honor and Reception on

Saturday, November 9, 7:00 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Ryan Johnson, along with

other young men from the Troop will be honored.

On Sunday, November 17, plan to arrive at church by 8:15 a.m.. There will be a

short concert by Phil Wizer and his band at 8:20 with beautiful, inspiring music

that will pump you up and point your thoughts to God.
