or another Catholic Parish. All parents are required to attend a Pre-baptismal

Seminar which are held bi-monthly. Please contact the Parish rectory to make

VIRTUS Protecting God’s Children

for Adults Program Sunday, August 13, 2017

This training session is required for all adult employees and volunteers of this parish who have not taken it yet. Please call the Rectory Office at 570 226-3183 or email qpparishsec@gmail.com to register for the class.

During the training, you will learn the tools and show you the resources to maintain a safe environment for all children, will incorporate techniques in a discussion-format to help you recognize the warning signs of child sexual abuse and how to respond to it appropriately and effectively.

This is different then the Mandated Reporter Training.

Marian Movement of Priests

Prayer Cenacle at Queen of Peace

Church.

Meet Sunday evening at 7pm. We start with a hymn , then the Rosary. After the rosary, a

reading from Fr. Gobbi's Blue book of Marian, then we recite the Consecration to the

Immaculate Heart of Mary. A reading from Scripture follows, then we recite a Divine

Mercy chaplet and a closing Marian Hymn.

First Friday is August 4, 2017. Masses at Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Peace Church will be at 9:00 am and 5:30 pm. Confessions will be heard before both Masses. To promote solemn veneration of the Eucharist, Exposition of the

Blessed Sacrament will follow the 9:00 am Mass and continue throughout the day until the 5:30 pm Mass. First Saturday Marian Devotions will be held after the 9:00 am Liturgy of the Word with Communion on August 5, 2017.

BAM Children’s School Supplies

The Paupack Food pantry is collecting school supplies for children for the upcoming school year. We have offered to

assist with their collection. If you would like to contribute school supplies,

you may drop them off at either Queen of Peace church or St. Veronica’s before Masses

on the BAM collection weekend: August 5/6, 2017

Any school supplies will be appreciated. Suggested items include: Back packs,

#2 pencils, pens, spiral note books, lunch boxes, loose leaf paper, staplers,

colored pencils, crayons, scotch tape, rulers, mechanical pencils, erasers, glue sticks,

calculators, and pencil boxes.

SUNDAY, August 27, 2017 - Franciscan Secular Order meet the 4th Sunday of each month. The monthly gathering is at 1:00 PM in the Parish Center. All Secular Franciscan are welcome, inquirers are also invited.

SUNDAY, August 27, 2017 – Bereavement will host a Pot-Luck Brunch after the 11:00 am Mass, Queen of Peace Parish Hall invite all who have experienced the loss of a loved one to join us for a casual and social gathering with friends in moving forward after loss.

WEEKLY Marian Movement of Priests Prayer Cenacle at Queen of Peace parish. We meet every Sunday evening in church at 7pm. We start with a hymn 'Come Holy Ghost, then the Rosary. Montrose, D.D.), with a short reflection by a priest or deacon present, then we recite the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. A reading from Scripture follows, then we recite a Divine Mercy chaplet and a closing Marian Hymn. It takes one hour!
