Membership details:-

to build and distribute apps on the App Store, you need to be enrolled in the Apple Developer Program for 99 USD membership fee per year

iTunes Connect

Provides information about your app sales numbers, download numbers, and your earnings.

Gives information from your customers’ experience of your apps such as customer reviews, crash reports, and the top scores reported in Game Center leaderboards.

You can also view an inventory of your apps and their configurations by running catalog reports.

iTunes:-from users perspective

Family sharing

Family sharing allows you to share iTunes and App Store up to six members

If you setup or join a Family, you may view eligible products of other Family members and download such products to your compatible device

The ”Organizer” of a Family must be 18 years or older and must have an eligible payment method registered with iTunes

Universal Purchase

You can let customers enjoy your app on both iOS and tvOS with a single purchase on the App Store

When you enable universal purchase of your app in iTunes Connect, users can use it on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and the new Apple TV

once both versions have been approved by App Review, you cannot disable universal purchase and cannot remove either version individually from sale.

If you release your iOS app or tvOS app separately with different app records, you will not be able to make them a universal purchase at a later date

App Bundles

App bundles on the App Store offer an easy way for customers to purchase up to 10 of your paid iOS apps at a reduced price. Apps enabled for universal purchase and that have both iOS and tvOS versions can be included in an app bundle. Apps that contain only a tvOS version cannot be part of an app bundle.

Upgrade PricingApple doesn't and has never provided a mechanism for upgrade pricing on the App Store, If a developer wants to make a new version of their app:-

1. Keep the same app and make the update free for everyone.

2. Make a new app and temporarily reduce the cost for everyone, so existing users don't have to pay full price again, and allow new users to take advantage of the reduced price as well.

3. Make a new app and keep it at full price so everyone, existing users and new users alike, pay top dollar.

Price Tiers

There are lower price tiers Alternate Tier A and Alternate Tier B for paid apps in China, Russia, Mexico, south Africa, Turkey, Indonesia, India, and Australia

Revenue Estimate per Average developer

Multiplying the average revenue per app by its average number of downloads, we can get a sense as to what an average developer can expect to make on an app today.
