Natura Xtra Light:Amoena’s Latest Breast Form Innovation Meets Real Consumer Need

Amoena’s design team continues to deliver options and better results for women in breast form technology. Today the company introduces the Natura Xtra Light breast form —a high-quality, lightweight solution — furthering the company’s innovation leadership.

Natura Xtra Light answers a common request from women for a form “lighter than light.” The simplicity of the breast form is based on precise technical features and unique benefits:

§ Weighs nearly 40% less than regular silicone forms of similar shape and size due to a new ultra-lightweight silicone formulation

§ Maintains durability standards – slightly firmer lightweight silicone in the back layer helps stabilize the form when worn in a bra pocket

§ Regulates fluctuations in body heat and reduces perspiration behind the form due to patented Comfort+ temperature-equalizing material integrated into the back layer

§ Boasts newly designed modern shape:

• More rounded volume on the lower section – ensures form drapes more naturally than any other lightweight option

• Narrower, more rounded footprint – doesn’t overlap a natural breast or breast form on the other side

• More curved backside with small, flexible channels – bends and hugs the body more closely

“We’re continuously perfecting our lightweight breast forms to better support the women we serve,” says Ulrike Rinklin, Product Manager for Breast Forms and Recovery Care at Amoena. “Many women with osteoporosis, lymphedema and other health concerns prefer a breast form that feels lighter than light. With Natura Xtra Light we are answering a real need while offering a high-quality form that will last,” she explains.

Amoena’s extensive breast form portfolio provides women with the best form, fit and feel to meet her unique needs after mastectomy, lumpectomy, or reconstructive surgery. Natura Xtra Light is a natural extension in championing women’s confidence.

As the world’s leading brand in breast care, Amoena takes its role seriously. “Every day we pushto set new design standards by providing women with the best fit, feel and form possible,” says Malissa Magyar-Mack, Global Head of Marketing. “Amoena’s driving force is to support women with exceptionally designed, functionally superior products. We never cease to ask ourselves:‘what's possible?’”

One of the unique challenges women can face after breast surgery is replacing the weight of missing tissue, in order to maintain proper shoulder alignment and posture. Each woman has her personal threshold, explains Helmut Wild, Global Head of Product Development: “So, in order to truly reach every woman, our range of weight options must be incredibly broad. We realized a need, based on feedback from our consumers and fitters, to add a super-light solution to our portfolio. And we like a good challenge!

“Some of the very light breast forms in the market don’t maintain their shape in the bra cup,” he continues, “which is why we took the time to test and perfect Natura Xtra Light. We’ve created a slightly firmer back layer and innovative flexibility channels to stabilize the fit. It’s lighter than lightweight, but durable — reliable.”

Lightweight breast forms are a great choice, too, if women experience certain other physical complications after breast surgery:

• Lymphedema, a condition that can cause swelling and discomfort in the arms, affects many breast cancer survivors; it’s important not to place stress on the shoulders or chest area, so lighter forms work well for these individuals.

• Osteoporosis, which can occur due to hormone levels or early-onset menopause among other factors, puts bones at risk of fracture; again, a lightweight breast form often works best.

Additional benefits like the new rounded shape, Comfort+ temperature-equalizing material, and InTouch soft silicone render Natura Xtra Light the best, highest quality breast form of its kind. To learn more, visit www.amoena.com/xtra-light.
