Location
The Learning Center is on the first floor of the
Hall of Justice, Lansing. The building is north
of the Michigan History Center (across Allegan
Street) and six blocks west of the State Capitol.
Hours
Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. Closed on court
holidays.
Tours
Guided tours are available with reservations.
Individual walk-in visitors are welcome. Call
517-373-7171.
Admission
Free of charge, including guided tours.
Parking
Visitor parking for passenger vehicles is
available off Allegan Street. Buses may park in
the Michigan History Center bus parking lot.

About the Learning Center
Discover the engaging Michigan Supreme Court
Learning Center, located at the Hall of Justice,
headquarters of the state’s judicial branch of
government.
The exhibit gallery is filled with hands-on
activities designed for visitors from elementary
school to adult. Topics include:
Role and structure of Michigan’s judicial
branch of government.
U.S. Constitution and Michigan
Constitution.
Roles in a trial, such as the judge, lawyers,
witnesses, and jury.

and the Michigan Supreme Court Historical Society Learning Center Fund
Tours
Free, guided group tours are available and last
about one hour. Individual walk-in visitors are
welcome for self-guided tours.
To include the Michigan Supreme Court
courtroom in your tour, you must specifically
request this option when reserving. Additional
time is required. Courtroom visits cannot be
guaranteed due to the Court’s schedule.
