On Any Given Friday

Each Friday, a team of faithful volunteers gathers to assemble the cookie trays for Sunday morning, replenish the children’s activity bags, and prepare the sanctuary for worship—refreshing the pencils, offering envelopes, and registration pads. Extra hands on any given Friday would be a boost! If you can help, stop by on any Friday at 9:30 am. _______________________________________________

Donation Station Currently needed at The Open Table are hotel-size amenities such as soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotions, toothpaste, toothbrushes, as well as razors, reading glasses, and bandaids.

Opportunities for Service

Help Flood Victims with Cleaning Supplies

The children of our church and their families are collecting items to fill UMCOR Cleaning Buckets which are distributed to families in need as they begin the overwhelming job of cleaning up after a flood or hurricane. If you can support our children’s project, you may drop any of the following items in the collection bins in the Fellowship hall or at the RECP entrance:

scrub brush plastic or wooden handle cleaning wipes sponges no cellulose sponges due to mold issues 5-gallon bucket with resealable lid NOTE: Buckets from fast-food restaurants or bakeries can

be used if washed and cleaned; do not use buckets that have stored chemicals such as paint or pool cleaner; advertisements on the outside are acceptable.

Meals for Students at NOLA Wesley Each Sunday night, students gather at NOLA Wesley Campus Ministry for worship, study, and a meal. If you or your class/group can provide a meal for 15-20 students at 5 pm on either of these dates— September 18 or December 4—please call the church office and let our senior pastor know. Congratulations, Crescent City Café... This past month the café served its 9000th meal! This represents 114 Saturday mornings and countless volunteer hours by young adults from across the city and at Rayne! Well done, young adults! On to 10,000!

...and Luke’s House! Since it opened, Luke’s House has served more than 4300 clients, added a Spanish Night, a Women’s Night, and an Eye Clinic! Many thanks to all who volunteer at the café and clinic!
