“Godly Play” You Can Help Rayne Provide this Innovative and

Exciting New Curriculum for Our Children

The Godly Play approach helps children to explore their faith through story, to learn the language of our faith, and to enhance their spiritual experience though wonder and play. Based on Montessori principles and developed using a spiral curriculum, the Godly Play method serves children through childhood and beyond. Each Godly Play Bible story comes in a box with beautifully crafted manipulatives which the story teller slowly unwraps and employs as s/he tells the story and invites wonder, engagement, and understanding.

If you would like to purchase a story for our growing Godly Play library, contact Children’s Ministry Director, Natalie Derham at 504-899-3431 or [email protected]

Brené Brown helps us to let go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embrace who we are. Join us as we go through an

interactive eCourse based on The Gifts of Imperfection featuring videos, creative activities, and discussions.

This group meets the third Sunday of every month, 7-8:30 pm.

Men's Group: How God Makes Men - April 23 The men's group will be reading and discussing the book, How

God Makes Men: Ten Epic Stories. The book draws on ten giants of the Bible from Abraham and Moses to David, Paul and others, to present a composite of principles of how God guides our lives.

The men's group will meet from 7:30-8:45 pm at NOLA Brewing Tap Room.

New Study Begins on Monday, April 24 Crazy Love, based on the best-selling book by Francis Chan.

What should our response be to a God that loves us unconditionally? In Crazy Love: Overwhelmed by a Relentless

God, Chan argues the antidote to religious complacency is not working harder at a list of do's and don'ts — it's falling in love

with God. And once you encounter His love, as Francis describes it, you will never be the same. It may be hard to picture what

loving God with all of our heart, mind, soul, and strength looks like. Join us for a 10-week book- and DVD-based study of this

best-seller (over 2 million copies sold!) to learn about loving God radically in a modern world.

Rayne 20/30 meets in the Youth Room #219 on Mondays from 6:30-8 pm.

Can the Bible be approached both as sacred scripture and as a historical and literary text?

For many people, it must be one or the other. How can we read the Bible both ways?

The Bible and the Believer brings together three distinguished biblical scholars--one Jewish, one Catholic, and one

Protestant--to illustrate how to read the Hebrew Bible/ Old Testament critically and religiously.
