reception for Retracing, a group exhibition featuring the work of Fringe Artists Brandi Downham, Christie Hackler, Lindsey Allswede and Beatriz Mayorca. A variety of mediums will be on display, including sculptural, furniture, lighting, mixed media and more. Norman Arts Council Individual

Artist Award Winner Katelynn Knick will have pieces for viewing in the Library Gallery.

WHEN: 6 to 9 p.m.ABOUT: The Depot Gallery will host a second reception for Small Works V, featuring artists Carol Beesley, Almira Grammer, Tony Grider, Don Holladay,

Marilyn LeFlore, Brad Price, Corazon Watkins and John Wolfe, from 6 to 9 p.m. Complimentary refreshments will be served. A special highlight of the evening

will be holiday music provided by Cimarron Opera singers beginning at 7:30 p.m. The program, arranged by Music Director Kevin Smith, is sure to warm hearts on a

cold night!

WHAT: Holiday Gift GalleryWHERE: Firehouse Art Center, 444 S. Flood

WHEN: 6 to 9 p.m.ABOUT: The Firehouse Art Center is continuing to host the annual Holiday Gift Gallery. For

almost 30 years, the FAC has hosted this show to highlight regional artists by showcasing their work for sale to the public in a festive extension of the year-round gift shop. In addition, visitors can purchase fused glass ornaments that support Firehouse Art Center educational

programming and tickets to the 2016 Chocolate Festival fundraiser for the arts.

WHEN: 6 to 8 p.m.ABOUT: The Norman Public Library will be doing something unique in anticipation of the theatrical release of Star Wars Episode VII, and hosting a Holly Jolly Jedi Day

on December 11 from 6-8 p.m. in the Lowry Room. This event will feature food, crafts, games and trivia — all Star Wars related. “A long time ago in a library far, far away... Star Wars fans were eagerly anticipating the newest Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens.” Rebel and Imperial Forces are invited to join us for an evening of Star Wars festivities to celebrate this momentous occasion. There will be come-and-go crafts, trivia, and snacks, plus a chance to mingle with other Star Wars fans. Costumes are encouraged! We hope

WHAT: Traditional Victorian Christmas exhibitWHERE: Moore-Lindsay Historical House, 508 N. Peters

WHEN: 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.ABOUT: Moore-Lindsay Historical House will host an Open House from 5:30-8:30. The

Traditional Victorian Christmas exhibit consists of 13 decorated trees from the period, as well as an ornament crafting station. Light refreshments and warm drinks will be

provided. Performances by a local flute ensemble from the OU New Horizons Band and The Norman Community Choral Society will take place throughout the evening. Free

carriage rides are available to all guests to transport them to and from the Main Street and Peters intersection.

WHEN: 6 to 10 p.m.ABOUT: STASH hosts vibrant art, great food trucks and a holiday concert and party for the December 2nd Friday Artwalk. On display is a collection by artist Michael Elizondo. His work stems from the fascination of origin stories and sociological events that have

shaped the place and culture that we as contemporary people live in today.

WHAT: Print, Print, BOOM!WHERE: Scratch Annex, 428 E. Main

WHEN: 4 p.m. to 12 a.m.ABOUT: Dope Chapel will be hosting Print, Print, Boom!, an International Print Festival

at the Scratch Annex, Gray Owl Coffee, Studio Ink and Bigfoot Creative. 2015 is the second year for this festival which has grown to include artists from the over 10 of

the largest cities and metros in Oklahoma, 10 national artists from various states, and artists from Estonia, Puerto Rico and France. The main space at the Scratch Annex will be flooded with printmakers from across the country, showcasing hundreds of sought

after, limited edition prints for sale with cold beverages from Anthem Brewing and food from a variety of nearby vendors. The night will have live music from Shameless Friend,

Sardashhh, Mikey Keys, SAFARI Collective, Askanse and Limp Wizurd.

WHEN: 6 to 9 p.m.ABOUT: Shevaun Williams & Associates Commercial Photography will be showing the works of 3 artists: Marvin Lee, Marcy R. Cordell, & Shevaun Williams. A special

trubute will be made to the late landscape photographer, Marvin Lee. Marcy R Cordell is from Chichasha, but has been a Normanite since 1990 and she will be exhibiting her ‘Oklahomies’ collection of characters she’s met and imagined throughout her lifetime.

Award-winning commercial and travel photographer Shevaun Williams will feature new work as well as a show and sale from her vast archives.

ABOUT: Norman Arts Council and Norman Music Festival team up each month to present the 2nd Friday Concert Series. This holly jolly edition of the series features Oklahoma indie rock favorites Tallows, along with Chase Kerby & The Villains (fresh

from appearing on The Voice), psych rockers Helen Kelter Skelter and upstart experimental electronic trio Harpa. The free show takes place at Opolis. Doors open

at 8 p.m. with the show starting up at 9 p.m. The show is 21+ only.

WHAT: Random Noise: Sarah Reid & Raechel Brown of Kaleidoscope ArtsWHERE: Guestroom Records, 125 E. Main

WHEN: 7 p.m. to 12 a.m.ABOUT: Fowler Volkswagen of Norman and Blackwatch Studios team up to

present a Christmas party and concert celebrating the release of their fifth annual A Blackwatch Christmas album at the STASH Annex. SPORTS, Samantha Crain

and Sherree Chamberlain will all perform, and there will be free refreshments from COOP Ale Works and vinyl copies of the record while supplies last.
