Your Monthly News & Updates The holiday season is upon us and so is the end of the semester. Here are some great resources to help you finish the year strong! NHD Debuted a New World War II Teaching & Learning Resource On Veterans Day NHD premiered a new teaching resource to invigorate the teaching and learning of World War II in Northern Europe, www.ABMCeduation.org. This resource, funded by the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) and produced in collaboration with the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media (CHNM) offers 21 new lesson plans to teach World War II in Northern Europe. Each lesson plan ties to the story of a World War II Fallen Hero who is buried in or memorialized at one of six cemeteries in Northern Europe. Click here to follow our teachers on our 2015 journey . Your Monthly News & UpdatesThe holiday season is upon us and so is the end of the semester. Here are some greatresources to help you finish the year strong! 

NHD Debuted a NewWorld War II Teaching &Learning Resource 

On Veterans Day NHD premiered anew teaching resource to invigoratethe teaching and learning of WorldWar II in Northern Europe, www.ABMCeduation.org.

This resource, funded by the American Battle Monuments Commission (ABMC) and producedin collaboration with the Roy Rosenzweig Center for History and New Media (CHNM) offers21 new lesson plans to teach World War II in Northern Europe. Each lesson plan ties to thestory of a World War II Fallen Hero who is buried in or memorialized at one of six cemeteriesin Northern Europe.

Students use a variety of sources for their NHDprojects, but there are many unusual, and unused,primary sources out there. On Tuesday, December 8,2015, we will be asking archivists, "What's the mostinteresting thing in your collection ‐ and how can itbe used in an NHD project?" Join us live as we talkwith archivists and education specialists from theNational Archives, White House Historical Society,and the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame Museum.
