I went to bed in my own room, in my own house. I said goodnightto my parents, my Brother and my dog. Same as every night. Soplease tell me how on earth I ended up inside the TV? Yes, youheard me. Inside the TV!
The roar, which I thought was part of my dream, was the first thingI heard. My eyes opened and I crumbled at the sight before me. Irecognised this place. Tall trees towered overhead, and in thedistance was the sign I knew would be there. The sign from myfavourite film. It read “Welcome to Jurassic Park”.
Then – that roar again. My eyes dragged themselves around toface whatever was making that horrendous noise. And there it was– a Tyrannosaurus Rex – and it was glaring right at me. Each long, pointed tooth was bigger than my fully extended arm. I knew thedanger I was in. I had seen the film so many times that I knew allthe rules of survival. Yet now I was actually there I was frozen infear.
Tips if you aren’t at 200 words:
• 1. Describe meeting one or two of the characters – what do you say to one another?
• 2. Do you change the plot of the film by saving the day, or do you make everything worse?
• 3. Describe the setting in detail – look at images from your chosen TV show/film to help you describe.
• 4. Was this world how you always imagined it to be? Why? Why not?
• 5. Describe how you got out of the TV world…or indeed IF you got out.
