Dear Parents & Caregivers
Well done to Katrina Rice, Jo
McPherson and Kelly Hinchcliffe
for running a successful cake
stall in Talbragar St last week.
With limited donations of cakes,
slices and cookies they did well
to raise $209 for the P&C. Thank
you to those parents who
donated goodies to support the
P&C.
2017 has been a very busy and
engaging year for students and
their academic, sporting and
creative achievements have been
quite outstanding.
Indeed small schools can think
BIG and importantly achieve BIG
things, particularly when they
‘TRY ALWAYS.’
On behalf of the whole staff, I wish everyone a wonderful Christmas break and look forward an exciting 2018.
Regards
Peter George Principal
THE BIG ONE!!
Next Thursday night, December 14, at 7:00pm sharp we will be holding our Presentation Night for 2017.
This is the culmination of our school year and EACH CHILD will receive an individual award and some may even receive a special additional award. In amongst the presentation of awards will be some class items for everyone’s enjoyment. This night is always well attended and ALL STUDENTS are expected to attend in their complete summer uniform including black shoes. Please arrive early to purchase your raffle tickets, pay your gold coin donation per family, and find a seat ready to start at 7:00pm. The hall will be open from 6:00pm onwards. We do like to start on time because this is a late night for younger students.
Have some extra money to support our P&C hamper and get tickets in the 55” Smart TV. Following Presentation Night there will be supper, so we ask each family to bring a plate of food. The P&C will be providing tea, coffee and cordial or water.
Come along and join in the success of our students, all the way from Kindergarten right through to Year 6. Special thanks to Mrs Farley and Mrs Dunn
who have worked tirelessly in organising and preparing everything for our special night.

YEAR 6 GRADUATION DINNER
Mrs Dunn did an amazing job in creating very unique placemats and placecards and choosing excellent cups, serviettes and balloons for the Year 6 Graduation Dinner. Thanks also to Mrs Bell and Year 5 for preparing the whole dining area. It was rather flash. Year 5 parents co‐ordinated by Kelly Hinchcliffe prepared a truly memorable delicious dinner of great variety. This special night should be a very special memory for all of our Year 6 students who head off to high school next year. Whilst it is an exciting and sometimes nervous time for Year 6 students completing their primary schooling and beginning a new chapter in their lives at secondary school, it is also sad for students and staff alike have been together for seven pretty amazing years. We wish them well, knowing that they have the strength of character and academic skills to be highly successful. More importantly they should develop into very fine caring, thoughtful, compassionate and tolerant adults.
A great big thank you must be given to Mrs Ann Horder for once again so generously donating the Graduation cake.
SEMESTER 2 STUDENT REPORTS
Next Wednesday each child should bring home their Semester Two reports for 2017. Please commend the children on their successes and pay particular attention to the EFFORT boxes because students who struggle in some areas maybe really giving it their all.
Also have a chat about any areas for development or improvement and set these as goals for next year.
If you have the opportunity during the holidays play some board games or similar with your children.
Don’t forget they can log on to Mathletics, Reading Eggs or Reading Eggspress to continue developing their literacy and numeracy skills throughout the holidays.
P&C CHRISTMAS HAMPER
We still need many more donations for our Christmas hamper which will be raffled on Presentation Night. Please send in your donations before next Wednesday, 13th December. Item ideas are non‐perishable food, new items, handmade items. Please no second hand items.
