Bringing you a weekend of national and international artists from all different Jazz styles.

This year we are very pleased to welcome on board an excellent addition to the festival The Atkinson who will be host to some of the best headline artists including;  James Morton’s Pork Chop, The Al Wood Nine, Gabby Young and the Other Animals plus much more.

The ‘hub’ of the festival at the Town Hall Gardens, Lord Street, is renowned for bringing some of the best local and regional musicians to the town for the FREE outdoor gigs. Grab a deck chair, sit, relax and watch Southport being brought to life with the different styles of jazz throughout the weekend.

And lets not forget the Fringe Festival from daytime to night time the entertainment doesn’t stop, with many of Southport’s restaurants and bars hosting a variety of lunchtime, teatime or night time gigs…enjoy a meal while soaking up the music or dance into the night…. either way you will find it hard to go home...

We are proud to be part of the Southport community through our involvement in the new Southport Cultural Centre on behalf of Sefton Council. This extensive restoration and refurbishment project consists of three Grade II listed buildings in the heart of Southport’s Conservation Area on Lord Street.

The new Cultural Centre will incorporate The Southport Arts Centre (Cambridge Theatre and The Studio), The Atkinson Art Gallery and Southport Library on Lord Street. In addition there will be three new museum galleries, a craft gallery for high quality work produced locally, a local history centre, an extended café and bar and space for community groups to use for their own activities. Plans include an extension on the Cambridge Arcade end which will increase studio capacity, improved backstage access and will include disabled dressing rooms and storage. The current studio will be enlarged to hold more people and a new bar and toilet facilities will be fitted.
