WELCOMEThe PRCA invites you to join us for the 60th Annual National Convention including round table discussions, sessions, meet-ings, a trade show and silent auction. We would like to thank the convention committee for their help in creating theflow, format and discussion topics that will provide beneficial information for a successful 2007 rodeo season.

THE SOUTH COAST HOTEL & CASINOWe are pleased to announce that the official hotel for the 2006 PRCA National Convention is The South Coast Hotel &Casino! A special room rate for Sunday – Thursday is offered at $60 per night (plus tax) and $90 on Friday and Saturday(plus tax). To make room reservations, please call 866-791-7626. SEMINARSExperts from various rodeo venues are joining to mediate round table forums and present ideas to helpsharpen your skills and gain practical knowledge in the world of rodeo marketing.

Round table discussion topics are tentatively scheduled to include information on; marketing to the non-rodeo fan, monitoring arena soil, improving your bottom line, advertising on a small budget, getting localsponsors, relations with stock contractors, rodeo insurance, negotiating and hiring contract acts, nationalsponsors, media, rodeo basics, and Q&A with Rodeo Administration. Consider bringing an extra member ofthe committee along to have representation in each discussion. Learn from and network with leaders in theindustry!

In addition to the round table discussions, there will be a welcome on Tuesday afternoon with the PRCACommissioner presenting the State of The PRCA, as well as a session on Animal Welfare. Wednesday after-noon there will be a session presented by both contract personnel and committee members on the hiring ofcontract acts. The PRCA event representatives will be on hand Thursday morning for an open forum Questionand Answer session as well. Badges are required to enter the trade show and all meetings.

PRCA convention seminars offer advice that can benefit every rodeo – small, medium or large. Whether youwant to make money, save money or just put on a better show, you’ll need to attend this year.

Contract personnel don’t miss your meetings scheduled Tuesday and Wednesday morning to discuss rules,bylaws, upcoming events and new ideas. Badges are required to enter the trade show and all meetings.

SOCIALFUNCTIONSWELCOME RECEPTION - Tuesday, November 28 6:00 – 8:00 pmCome join us for a welcome event that includes cocktail hour. The PRCA Convention will kick off Tuesdaynight with the 20th Annual Welcome Reception. Enjoy food, drinks and the main attraction: introduction ofthe 2006 National Finals Rodeo contestants.(Note: This year, only one convention badge registrant will be allowed access.)

BANQUET - Wednesday, November 29 6:00 – 8:00 pm The Annual PRCA Awards Banquet will be held Wednesday evening. Among the awards presented during theprogram include recognition of the top announcer, clown, bullfighter, secretary, stock contractor, dress act,comedy act, AQHA horses and rodeo committees of the 2006 season. A cocktail reception will begin at 6:00pm, followed by dinner and awards program at 6:30 pm. Order your tickets in advance for this enjoyable,always sold-out event.

Tickets purchased after October 31 are an additional $25 and are subject to availability.

In addition to the scheduled social activities, the friendly confines of the host hotel will allow you to takeadvantage of the restaurants, coffee shop, bars, entertainment and casino.

IMPORTANT DATESThere are three important deadlines that are fast approaching:October 1 is the deadline for all trade show booth applications.Pre-registration forms must be received at the office by October 31, 2006Finally, don’t miss out on the special room rate The South Coast Hotel and Casino is offering by Nov 3!

REGISTRATION DETAILSIf full payment is not received for all parties, the reservation will not be made until payment is received in itsentirety.

Registration includes access to trade show, workshops & conference proceedings. Take advantage of dis-counts when registering more than one person. All registrants must be a PRCA Member in good standings(or a guest of a member).

Badges are required for access to all meetings, events and Trade Show floor. Don’t leave yours in theroom or car! Replacement badges will not be made and are subject to a re-issue fee.

All children 12 and under can receive complimentary passes with a PRCA Member.

Any additions or changes to the registration form after it has been submitted must be made in writing toensure accuracy.

Sorry, no refunds will be given after September 15 without a written request to PRCA stating the circum-stances.

Booths will not be sold or changed with name additions or deletions after October 1.

Pre-registration forms must be received (not postmarked) at the PRCA National Headquarters by October 31or the higher registration fee will apply!

Banquet tickets may be available on site for $100, but are not guaranteed. Get your tickets early as the eventwill sell out. Early purchase deadline is October 31st.

Day passes will be available on-site for $125. You must show your cur-rent PRCA card or committees must have written authorization from thefirst committee contact of the 2006 rodeo season.

Keep a copy of the registration form for your files and for future reference.

You will receive written acknowledgement in the form of a receipt fromPRCA confirming your registration. If you do not receive it, please call ouroffice. Remember to bring your receipt as confirmation on-site. If there isa discrepancy and a receipt is not available, the higher on-site fee will becharged.

TRADE SHOW & SILENT AUCTIONThe PRCA National Convention features a three-day trade show with 120 booths. These exhibits are staffedby the best contract personnel the PRCA has to offer. New this year, held during the trade show, will also bea silent auction. A wide variety of fabulous finds will be on hand, with a portion of the proceeds going to theJustin Cowboy Crisis Fund.

TRADE SHOW POLICIES AND SET UPTo participate in the 2006 Trade Show, please fill out the application in the back of this booklet. Applicationswill be accepted only with full payment, on a first come-first serve basis. All applications must be receivedby Oct 1. The $550 price will include a 10 x 10 booth space and two registration badges. The badges maybe either two contract personnel sharing a booth or one contract personnel and a guest. No more than twoindividuals are allowed to share a booth. Group acts must purchase additional badges.

We are pleased to announce that booth prizes will be given out this year for Best of Show! Trade show atten-dees and rodeo committee members will vote on who has the best booth for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Be sureto add some excitement to your booth, as the first place winner will get a paid booth space for the follow-ing year’s trade show!

This year, there are minimalsession meetings scheduledduring the trade show times toavoid conflict and overlap.

The PRCA Trade Show is aninvitational, non-commercialevent. All vendors must be cur-rent, eligible PRCA members atthe time of registration. Anyparticipating vendors are invit-ed to display their businessesonly. THE SALE OF PRODUCTSIS PROHIBITED. Contract per-sonnel members are given firstpriority in reserving boothspace and will be on a firstcome, first serve basis. Anyassociate members interestedin reserving booths space willbe placed on a waiting list upon receiving registration and payment. Booth assignments will be on a firstcome-first serve basis, if available. Associate Members may not share a booth with contract personnel.

Champion Exposition Services will send out booth information kits once registration has been completedand confirmed by the PRCA, in October. A 10 by 10 foot area with draped exhibit booth, two chairs, a 6foot table, waste basket and an identification sign are included in the booth price. Electrical outlets areavailable upon request for an additional fee. Again, booth applications and payments must be received inthe PRCA National Headquarters by Oct 1. No booth name additions or deletions will be made afterOctober 1. If you have not purchased a booth or will be sharing with someone, you may not set up, adver-tise or pass out business cards at the trade show. Only one booth may be purchased.

Trade Show set up will be Monday, Nov 27 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm. Tear down will be 12:00 to 2:00 onThursday, Nov 29.

Badges are required for everyone to enter the trade show at all times.
