Should you at any time lose your name tag or if you need any help, please locate one of our helpers for assistance. Welcome to the 2018 Storytelling Conference!

Laura Wexler, Co‐founder and                

Co‐producer of The Stoop Storytelling 

Series 

Laura Wexler will  present  "The  Power  and  Principles  of  True, 

Personal Storytelling," a  lively and  interac ve explora on based 

on Laura’s experience coaching thousands of people to tell their 

true, personal tales since co‐founding The Stoop in 2006, and her 

ongoing research into the fascina ng science of narra ve.

this  presenta on  will  familiarize  par cipants  with  well‐known 

librarian  storytellers,  including Augusta Baker and Pura Belpre, 

and how they used storytelling to connect with children.

Par cipants will  learn to tell stories through the art of puppetry 

in this hands‐on workshop that will  lead you through the stages 

of transforming a story into a produc on.
