PRAYER & WORSHIP 02

WELCOME

January 5th, 2020 | The Epiphany of the Lord

FIRST READING “Rise up in splendor, Jerusalem! Your light has come, the glory of the Lord shines upon you. (Is 60:1)” In the wake of Israel’s return from exile in Babylon, Isaiah prophesied the restoration of Jerusalem marked by gifts ranging from the “riches of the sea” to the “wealth of nations.” What gifts do you receive from your faith in Jesus?

SECOND READING

“The Gentiles are coheirs, members of the same body,

and copartners in the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. (Eph 3:6)”

Paul wrote of the “mystery” that was revealed to him; namely, the Gentiles and the Jews (all believers) were “coheirs, members of the same body” of Jesus Christ. Why might some people resist this message of inclusivity?

THE EPIPHANY OF THE LORD “They prostrated themselves and did him homage. Then they opened their treasures

and offered him gifts of gold, frankincense, and myrrh. (Mt 2:11b)” Matthew tells us that the visit of the magi was wrought with fear, danger, and deception. Why do you think the good news of Jesus Christ remains today a threat to some people in the world?

Our Lady’s Latest Message

Dear Children! I am carrying my Son Jesus to you, for Him to bless you and reveal to you His love, which comes from Heaven. Your heart yearns for peace, of which there is less and less on earth. That is why people are far from God and souls are sick and heading towards spiritual death. I am with you, little children, to lead you on this way of salvation to which God calls you. Thank you for having responded to my call.

ADORATION OF THE BLESSED SACRAMENT Every Tuesday at 8:30 – 9:30 AM and the First Thursday of the month at 7:00 – 8:00 pm

If you are alienated or upset, we welcome you lovingly. - If you are in need of forgiveness, Jesus forgives you completely – with unconditional love. - If you have been hurt by the Church, we - are truly sorry. - If you are angry, Jesus offers you peace. -If life has become burdensome, we are here to support you. - We are happy you are here and want you to stay. - We would like to share our lives with you. - Come join us each week so we can worship together.
