WEATHER WATCHWEATHER WATCHBy: Sharon Davis Class: 706By: Sharon Davis Class: 706

ProblemProblem

What type of weather would you result form a combo of three cloud types?

HypothesisHypothesis

My hypothesis states that before you judge what type of weather it is you need to know the basic skills. The first thing you need to know is the different type of cloud and the personalities of each one. Second you need to know the weather symbols. Third and last you need to know which cloud goes with the weather symbol. With this information I have gotten the information that I need to know to become a weather forecaster

PurposePurpose

Students will be able to become a weather forecaster, by collecting data on the weather as an experiment.

MaterialsMaterials

-Research Papers on Different type of clouds.

-Thermometer -Anemometer -Weather Symbol Chart

ResearchResearch

Research DataResearch Data

Stratus- a layer of blanket, flat featureless cloud dark gray to nearly white.

Cirrus- thin wisplike strands, often

accompanied by tuffs. Cumulus- noticeable cloud, and fluffy. Nimbus- Produces precipitation. Alto- cloud with prefix.

VocabularyVocabulary

Barograph-an instrument used to record air pressure

Barometer-an instrument that measure atmospheric pressure

Biosphere- the regions of the atmosphere of the Earth’s(or other planet) where living organisms lives

Thermometer- an measuring instrument to measure temperature

Temperature- a degree of hotness and coldness in an environment.

VocabularyVocabulary

Water Cycle-a natural cycle of evaporation water, precipitation rain, snow, condensation from the oceans, lakes, rivers

Thermosphere-an atmosphere layer between the mesosphere an exosphere

Wind-air moving from an area of high pressure and low pressure

Condensation-is the change of physical state aggregation of matter form gasses

Air Pressure- atmosphere pressure exerted by the atmosphere

Analysis/ ConclusionAnalysis/ Conclusion

In conclusion for this project I will be able to know how to determine the weather forecast by myself. It is possible to determine weather by your self by researching and paying close attention to the patterns of different forecast. I would also be able to determine what type of weather it is by looking in the sky at the many different type of clouds.
