Congratulations goes to Lynne Semple who was awarded toe Benoni Northern’s Sports Person of the year. And to Amy Hurly who was also awarded a special award for all her achievements.

Oliver Tambo Memorial Hospital is collecting unwanted medals to give to the children who complete their chemotherapy. Kirsten Willis is willing to drop the medals off. We will be collecting them at club runs and time trial. If you are no using your medals, please consider donating them to this

amazing cause. A big thank you to Kristian and Renate Fesel who donated

220 medals (pictured below).

Congratulations to our walkers on the following achievements from the SA Race Walking Champs:• Sidwell Mhlongo – first place in grandmasters 10km• Stephen Masimango – second place in masters 20km• Sarel Smith – third place in masters 10km• Agnes Kirsch – third place in women’s grandmasters 10km.

Our annual Christmas run will start and finish at Barry and Pam Kendall’s house on 10th December. We will run to Child Welfare and back. Buckets will be sold for R30 and need to be filled with different items that are needed by Child Welfare. More details to follow.
