Term 1—We survived you!

Despite the unpredictable circumstances we are

currently facing thus far, we have come a long

way. We have had to adapt to life as we could

have never imagined, working, educating, living

and just doing what we thought were some

simple day to day activities. With Easter now

here lets make sure we all take time to enjoy

our family over the holidays. Spend time

together wether it be outdoors, doing some

craft, playing games, or the Easter Egg hunt (no

one is ever too old for an egg hunt)!.

The department’s latest advice is that for the

first weeks, if not all Term 2, learning will be

from home. Work packages for next Term are

now either collected or are in the mail.

Packages for years 7 to 10 don’t need to be

opened until first day of Term 2 (no one wants

to do school work in the holidays). Term 2,

Tuesday April 28 the team at Warialda High

School are back on deck and ready to help

you… until then….

#stayhome #staysafe #werrallinthistogether

Happy Easter from all of us.

HSC News

All year 11 and 12 subjects are able to alter tasks times content and weightings. The work placement

requirements for VET subjects has been waived until further notice. Update will continue in due course.

A COVID TIP FROM A TEACHER ABOUT HOW TO STAY MOTIVATED...

Plan to do the work that you don't like or challenges you for a short period of time eg. 20 minutes then plan a

reward that you love doing immediately afterwards eg. Completing that history writing task you have been

putting off, then playing Fortnight for 30 minutes once it's finished.

Mrs Shelly Way - Principal

Break down your work into smaller pieces. Give yourself a certain number of pieces to do each day.

Miss Kathryn Latham—English Teacher

Start the day with some exercise - it gets the brain moving! Mrs Jane Garland—Learning & Support

Write out your to-do list and work it off by doing the least liked things first. That way, your day just keeps on

getting better!....PS. Don't put in wind your clock forward by an hour (or two).

Mrs Kate La Fontaine—Head Teacher Administration

Year 10 Challenge!

Year 10 are welcome to enter a competition being run by their

Year Advisor, Miss Stephens. Whilst working on each of their

subjects at home, they are challenged to create an imaginative

portrait or selfie that reflects the subject they are working on.

For example, completing your history work with a Cleopatra

headdress, or your science work with hair like Einstein. She is

offering stupendous prizes, with one for each subject, so get

creative! You can submit photos for more than one subject

simply by e-mailing them to Miss Stephens. But most

importantly... don't forget to be wearing your Year 10 shirt!

Working from home pictures

Earlier this week we asked for photos of how students are

attending to their learning at home so we could share.

We have received many pictures and hope you keep sending

them in.
