The following work procedure is shown on model 204.0. The work procedure on model 204.3 is similar.

1 Clip reversing camera (B84/3), as shown, into cutout provided in trunk lid and detach protective foil.

Guide the electrical line through into the interior of the trunk lid.

2 Make electrical connector for reversing camera (B84/3x1). To do so, connect the black 4-pin connector of the wiring

harness for the reversing camera (2) and the black 4-pin plug of the reversing camera.

3 Wrap foam (4) around electrical connector for reversing camera (B84/3x1) and fasten in place using cable ties.

4 Route wiring harness for reversing camera (2) from electrical connector for reversing camera (B84/3x1) along existing lines and under the rear shelf.

5 Route reversing camera wiring harness (2) along rear shelf and existing lines to reversing camera power supply module (N66/10).

The wiring harness for the reversing camera (2) is attached under the rear shelf at a later stage along with the power supply wiring harness.

6 Connect wiring harness for reversing camera (2) to power supply module for reversing camera (N66/10).

7 Connect black 4-pin connector to power supply module for reversing camera (N66/10) and wrap felt tape around the brown line (br), gray/yellow line (gr/ge) and red/blue line (rt/bl), starting at the power supply module for the reversing camera (N66/10), to a length of 2200 mm.

8 Route brown line (br), gray/yellow line (gr/ge) and red/blue line (rt/bl) under the rear shelf to the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) and fasten in place using felt tape and cable ties.

Fix the previously routed wiring harness for the reversing camera together with the brown line (br), gray/yellow line (gr/ge) and red/blue line (rt/bl) into place.

9 Connect brown line (br) to the ground point of the right wheel arch (trunk) (W7).

Strap down extended length of brown line (br) and fasten in place using cable ties.

10 Route red/blue line (rt/bl) to installation location of green fuse carrier (6) on rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).

11 Cut off extended length of red/blue line (rt/bl).

12 Route gray/yellow line (gray/yellow) to right backup lamp (E4e3) and fasten in place using cable ties.

13 Cut off excess line length of gray/yellow line (gr/ge).

14 Fit an "SLK 2.8" contact (5) to red/blue line (rt/bl). The "SLK 2.8" contact (5) is available in the wiring harness repair kit.

15 Remove green fuse carrier (6) from rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).

16 Open lock (6.1) of green fuse carrier (6) and install red/blue line (rt/bl) into contact cavity 4 of the green fuse carrier (6).

If the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2) is not equipped with a green fuse carrier (6), then this is to be taken from the installation kit.

17 Close lock (6.1) of green fuse carrier (6).

18 Fit green fuse carrier (6) onto rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module (N10/2).

19 Insert a 7.5 A fuse into contact cavity 4 of green fuse carrier (6).

20 Connect gray/yellow line (gr/ge) of right backup lamp (E4e3) with gray/yellow line (gr/ge) of wiring harness for voltage supply using a potential distributor (7).

The potential distributor (7) can be obtained from the wiring harness repair kit.

21 Wrap felt tape round potential distributor (7).

22 Fix gray/yellow line (gr/ge) of right backup lamp (E4e3) together with gray/yellow line (gr/ge) of wiring harness for voltage supply in place using cable ties.

23 Open lock (1.4) of green coupling housing (1.3) and remove plug insert (1.5) of wiring harness (1) from green coupling housing (1.3).

24 Insert wiring harness (1) from power supply module for reversing camera (N66/10) through breakthrough in C-pillar inside and route to left rear door cutout.

25 Fix wiring harness (1) in place using felt tape.

26 Route wiring harness (1) along existing lines into cable ducts of left rear door cutout to the left front door cutout and fix in place.

27 Route wiring harness (1) along existing lines into cable ducts from left front door cutout to COMAND controller unit (A40/3) and fix in place.

28.1 Install wiring harness (1) into right slot of green coupling housing (1.3).

If the green slot on the COMAND controller unit is (A40/3) not used.

28.2 Detach green coupling housing (1.3) from COMAND controller unit (A40/3) and install the wiring harness (1) into the right slot of the green coupling housing (1.3).

If the green slot on the COMAND controller unit is (A40/3) used.

29 Plug green coupling housing (1.3) onto green slot on COMAND controller unit (A40/3).
