January 14, 2014. Xochicalco Morelos, México. Reliving moments of my first trip to Mexico over the December break. It was an amazing experience and I enjoyed diving right in to the culture, engaging its vibrant people, and consuming Mexico’s delicious cuisine.

January 15, 2014. Cafe Medici. Austin, Texas. I took this image at a cafe the weekend before the beginning of my final semester at UTSA. It was my first trip to Austin and I thought the city to be quite quaint. Sixth Street reminded me of a petite Upper East Side. I always find value in a rich cup of mocha. Find some fun facts about coffee here http://theoatmeal.com/comics/coffee

January 16, 2014. UTSA Campus. San Antonio, Texas. Glad to see the UTSA campus encouraging recycling. Although I do hope to see more of these around campus and San Antonio. For now, it’s a good place to start.

January 17, 2014. Rock San Thai Bistro. I love Thai food and chocolate. Odd coupling but the box of Ghirardelli was a gift from a friend. It’s always great to meet someone else who shares your views on life. I usually have difficulty making and keeping friends for reasons beyond me. Being aware of this helps me in learning how to overcome this belief.

January 18, 2014. Binge watching. I love horror and sci fi programs. I also adore binge watching on my free time. Getting lost in a good show, a good movie while sitting at the edge of my seat all the while clenching my throw shielding myself from the cold chill every moment a scene fills the room with ominous music. Check out some movies that you can enjoy binge watching as well. Click here.

January 19, 2014. My living room. Preoccupied with knowledge. This semester is already promising to be a hectic and fulfilling one. I enrolled in graduate school to expand my knowledge base and to acquire the prestige that comes with earning a master’s degree.

January 20, 2014. Haus of Pancakes. Having breakfast with my best friend and significant other on his day off is the beginning of a fantastic week! Although the pancakes weren’t that great, spending time with him made it all worth while.

January 21, 2014. Plaza Norte Building. UTSA Campus. I was more than elated to receive this new position as the Program Specialist for the Office of Undergraduate Research here at UTSA. The position allows me to expand my resume while doing the things that I love most.

January 22, 2014. John Peace Library. While searching the JPL shelves for books to utilize for my Comprehensive Examination research proposal, I came across this book written by one of my previous professors from Alfred University. I am so glad to have been taught by such wonderful and influential minds who are not afraid to make a stand by discussing issues within our culture.

January 23, 2014. I miss my alma mater. I miss the intimate small town feel and Upstate New York. I met my boyfriend at Alfred University and I am happy that we got to share our college experience together.

January 24, 2014. When I need to relax a little, I have some red wine. My preference is normally Merlot, but I decided to try something new. Cheers!

January 25, 2014. I am studying for the Comprehensive examination. It is a stressful and an intense experience, but I’m more concerned with the rewards that accompany this process.

January 26, 2014. My boyfriend and I visited a relative’s house in Mexico. I was so awed when we walked into his backyard and there in a large, ironed cage was a beautiful peacock. I took a few of the feathers it shed.

January 27, 2014. Home. I love binge-watching. On my free time, I spend hours watching shows and programs. I don’t get the chance to do so often, but when I do I choose to watch Charmed, which is one of the best drama, mystery, fantasy series in my opinion.

Charmed. Season 2, Episode 18. Chick Flick. (20, April 2000)

January 28, 2014. Vegeria Vegan Tex - Mex & American Cuisine. I have been a vegetarian for 5 years and residing in meat haven, Texas, makes it difficult to eat out. I love when I do get a chance to head down to Broadway for lunch at Vegeria like my partner and I did today. Just the feeling of having choices makes the drive worthwhile.

January 29, 2014. I follow Guardian News on Twitter for news coverage across the globe. I always know that I can find valuable news reports

January 30, 2014. I’ve had this laptop since the beginning of my academic career. It’s an old laptop now but it is such a life saver. Without it I would most likely feel like I was incomplete. I am wired for more than 13 hours of my day.

January 31, 2014. My mom has always encouraged me to keep a healthy diet. Even as a child I remember eating fruits, and vegetables with every meal. After I moved away from home for college, it was hard at first to keep a healthy diet. Eventually, I realized that my body felt much more alive and much lighter with a healthy diet.
