Short History of Wind Measurement in Vietnam

• 2011 – First IEC and MEASNET conform Measurements in Vietnam done by the GIZ, World Bank and Government of Vietnam 10 masts at different sites installed by PECC3

• 2019-2015: Different masts in private projects

• 2016 to 2018 – KfW Bank – German funding project20 to 40 masts at different sites

Mast installation

The proper placement of the mast is crucial for a successful wind measurement campaign

Regulation: IEC 61400-12-1:2005
