STRIP POKER: HOW THE GAME IS PLAYED STRIP POKER is played by two competing teams, one consisting of two women and the other of two men. The game is a battle of the sexes, as each team tries to win money by answering questions geared towards the opposite sex and playing a game based on five card stud poker. Whoever wins the most money wins the game! Each game is divided into two card-playing rounds and one questions-only Lightning Round. The card game is based on five card stud poker. The deck of cards in Round One contains 9's, 10's, Jacks, Queens, Kings and Aces only, one from each of the four card suits. In Round Two, the dealt deck will

also include a Wild Card.

THE GAME: ROUND ONE In the first card playing round, a total of five questions are asked of the contestants. These questions are either male-oriented to be asked of the women or female-oriented to be asked of the men. EXAMPLE: Ask the Men "What girls are known as easy, breezy and beautiful?" (Answer: Cover Girls) EXAMPLE: Ask the Women "You were just charged two minutes for hooking. What sport were you playing?" (Answer: Hockey) Each team has approximately seven seconds to answer their question. If they do not answer in the allotted time, they lose their turn. Each correct answer is worth $50. To start the game, two cards are dealt face up. The Host then reads a question to one of the teams. If the team answers the question correctly, they win the $50 and get to pick which card they want for their hand. The remaining card goes to the other team, and one member of the other team must remove an article of clothing. If the team does not answer correctly, the other team is then asked the same question. If the second team answers correctly, then they get the $50 and get to pick a card. The remaining card goes to the first team, and one person from the first team must remove an article of clothing. If the second team also gets the answer wrong, then the first team winds up with the $50 and wins back their right to pick a card. One person from the second team then loses an article of clothing. During the round, a total of four sets of cards are dealt face up and played the same way. The fifth and last set of cards is dealt face down. They are still played the same way, but when a team picks a card, it is added to their hand face down, and no clothing is lost. Whoever has the higher four-card poker hand gets to reveal their face down card first. When all the cards are face up, whoever has the highest five card poker hand wins the round. The winning team gets an additional $250 for winning the round, while the losing team gets no money and one member of the losing team must

remove an article of clothing.

ROUND TWO Round two is identical to the first round with the following two differences:

Each time a team answers a question correctly, they win $100 instead of $50.

At the beginning of the round, all of the playing cards are shuffled and ten cards are pulled to be dealt during the round. One card is then randomly replaced with a wild card and the 10 cards are reshuffled. When drawn, the wild card can eventually be any card the team wants it to be (between 9-Ace only). The team decides what they want the wild card to be when their facedown card is turned over at the end of the round.

The end of round two is the same as round one, with the winning team earning an additional $250 and one member of the losing team removing an

article of clothing as a penalty.

THE LIGHTNING ROUND This round is played with questions only (no cards). The questions are no longer geared towards men nor women, but instead are offbeat, pop culture, trivia-type questions. EXAMPLE:True or False: Marshmallows are fat free. (Answer: True) EXAMPLE:If Drew Barrymore married Jim Carrey, what would her married name be? (Answer: Drew Carrey) Each team member is given his or her own whistle. One male team member and one female team member step forward, and the Host asks a question. Whoever blows the whistle first gets to attempt to answer. If he/she answers correctly, a member of the other team has to take off one article of clothing. If he/she answers incorrectly, he/she has to take off one article of clothing. If no one blows their whistle within the five second time limit, both contestants have to take off an article of clothing. The other team members then step forward, and the same routine is repeated. A total of six questions are asked in the Lightning Round, so each person from each team will try to answer a total of three questions. A correct answer wins the team $100. If a wrong answer is given, the opposite team

wins the $100. If no one answers, no one wins the money.

WINNING THE GAME Whichever team has the most money at the end of lightning round wins the game and keeps all the money they have won. The losing team also gets to keep whatever money they have won, but they must come down onto the main floor and strip off any remaining articles of clothing. The decision of the losing team about how many clothes they wish to remove is solely up to them!

Graham Elwood is the host of STRIP POKER, the outrageous new game show currently filming its second season and now airing on USA Network. A ten year comedy veteran, Elwood has honed his skills in comedy clubs and colleges to become a sarcastic hipster who can make light of anything and anyone, especially himself. Effortlessly absurd and silly, this professional wise-ass is one of the most versatile comics working today. In fact, after completing the filming of a sketch comedy show entitled *69 for MTV, one of the producers was overheard saying "Graham Elwood stole the show."

When not filming, Elwood can be seen regularly at the Improv in Hollywood. He also has made frequent appearances at the Improv in Las Vegas and at many other comedy clubs across the country. In addition to his standup comedy abilities, Elwood is part of a comedy group called "Fancy Ketchup." The show can be seen on a regular basis at The

Comedy Store in Hollywood.
