Unity in Jesus traveled from the Crow Reservation to

Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin to give a Gospel music

concert at the Barnabus House Christian Coffee-

house. The people seemed to really enjoy our music

and invited us to come back when ever we were up

that way again. We played three sets of Southern

Gospel music and one set of our own music.

When the night was over we loaded our instruments and

started out for a six hour drive to Pennington , MN for a

weeks revival. We made it as far as Little Falls and decided

to get a good breakfast and head on into Pennington. We

arrived and joined Pastor Richard Cutbank and Archie La

Rose, Tribal Coun-sel President for the Leech Lake Band

of the Chippewa .

Unity in Jesus kicked off the revival in Pennington

MN with Rev. Davie Lee Ramey Preaching the first

two nights. The Holy Spirit was present and each

night lives were touched and people went to the altar

to dedicate themselves to a closer walk with God.

There was special music nightly and people testified

of healings and deliverance and mighty accounts of

how lives were changed by the power of God.

Rev. David Beaver took a trip with Pastor Cutbank

to Itasca State Part to see where the might Mississippi

River begins.

The team met Brother Brown from Texas whom we

later met up with in Waco when we had to buy two new

tires for the motor home. He stated he could use the

tires on some old trailers he had and we were glad to be

able to donate them to his ministry.

Pastor Cutbank had met Lee Ramey 30 years earlier

in the Minnesota District of the Pentecostal Church of

God . Brother Ramey was the Secretary Treasurer

and had went to preach when the church was in its

beginning stages and meeting at the local community

center. It is such a blessing to see how God has moved

and built this local church in MN

There was a Canadian contingent of ministers who

came down from Canada who ministered in the word

and in Song. Brother Gordon Travers from Canada can

really play the mandolin and the different instruments

really add to the quality of the worship music. Services

did not end most nights till after midnight.

Some twenty years ago Rev Davie Ramey was pastor

of a church in Little Falls MN. His wife Katie taught

Sunday School there and they worked for 6 years and

built the congregation up and then led the church into

the church of God Denomination. Unity in Jesus was invited to give a Wednesday night

Gospel Music Concert and found several of the people

they had brought into the church still attending faith-

fully. It is always good to see the seeds you have planted

twenty years before now producing fruit.

Pam Strom came when we pastured and was a

mother with 4 small children. Now they are grown up

and two of them attend the church with her now.

Terry Tanner used to come to the church every once

in a while and we would get together and pick guitars on

occasion. Now he plays regular in the church and leads

worship during the services. The young man seated

beside me by the motor home was in Mrs. Ramey’s Sun-

day school class, I remember him always being kind of

While in Little Falls they stayed with Brother

Ramey’s Foster Daughter Diana and her husband

Lenny Seeland. They bought a temporary fishing li-

cense and went to some of the old hot fishing spots

which proved to be just as good as they were 20 years

before.

It is always good when we get the opportunity to

take a break from ministry to rest and relax and fellow-

ship with old friends and family.

hyper and humming a lot and seemingly never really

paying attention. He told me that He was taking in

every thing that was being said and especially the love

that our family showed towards him and his sister.

He said that when he grew up he had a fight with

alcohol and drugs but he remembered the God we had

taught him about and called out to him and God heard

him and now he is a youth leader and is working on

Christian Rap Music. He rapped to one of our songs.

Pastor Josephine Smith opened the meetings and

kicked off the revival in Redby, MN with Rev. Davie

Lee Ramey preaching the first two nights of the

Camp Meeting. David Beaver Preached the third

night on “DO YOU KNOW HIM.”

Almost thirty years ago, Lee Ramey and Rev.

Steve Oates the MN District Superintendant traveled

to Redby, MN on the Red Lake Reservation to help

pour the foundation and lay the block for the base-

ment of the P.T.L. Church. The Rev. George Jones

was the pastor at the time the church was built.

Brother Ramey remembered that as they were

laying each coarse of block they prayed that God

would use this church and asked that the Holy Spirit

would move through this work on the reservation.

When the Unity In Jesus evangelistic team visited

the church last summer they found the church was in

revival. It was good to see that God had honored the

prayers from thirty years before.

Rev. George Jones passed away and the pastor of

the church is Rev. Josephine Smith who is a Native

American from the Apache Tribe in Arizona.

She invited the team to participate in the month

long tent meeting. It is our intent to come back next

year and many years in the future. God is doing a

mighty work among the Native American Church.

We left Little Falls, MN and headed to Kansas City,

MO to visit our ministry friends there. When we arrive

our two front tires were in bad need of replacing but we

did not have the money to replace them at the time.

Our dear friends at The Church Of The Restoration

Of The Covenant bought us two new tires at a cost of

$760.00.

While there Brother David Beaver proposed to life-

long friend Jewell Gray and the couple was married on

August 19, 2010 just outside of Joplin, MO.

After prayerful consideration we decided to finish a

few more ministry dates and then Pastor David and

Jewell would be taking a one year leave from ministry

as is the scriptural way for newly married couples.

in Gatesville, TX. He was accepted as Pastor for 1 Year and
