Stewardship Faith “Did not God choose those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom that he promised to those who love
him?” (JAMES 2:5) What is more important for a Steward – being rich in faith or rich in possessions? Society teaches us that possessions are most important. God teaches a different lesson. When we are rich in faith, we keep God first in all things and realize that material things really don’t matter and that it’s more important to share with those who have less.

As Catholics we are blessed with the promise of life everlasting. To be with our Lord in Heaven, we are baptized, we follow the Holy Scripture, and we keep the Lord in our hearts throughout our earthly journey. Death is not the end but rather the next step. During life our bodies are the temple of the Holy Spirit. At death we present our bodies to a sacred Catholic funeral and burial, to be prepared for the Resurrection. Just as you have chosen to be a part of a Christian community, you will want the burial of your remains to reflect that same Christian faith while choosing to rest in peace with other Christians in a Catholic cemetery. Choosing a final resting place on consecrated grounds is your choice, your privilege and the right of every Catholic, as well as a confirmation of faith in our everlasting union with our Lord. For more information call 855-MyPrePlan (855-697-7375) or visit our website at SouthJerseyCatholicCemeteries.org and a member of our staff will gladly help you.
“For the Lord himself, with a word of command, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God, will come down from
heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first.” 1 Thess 4:16
Are you between the AGES OF 18-39 looking to discern your role in the world? Discover how to make decisions for life’s journey. Young adults are offered formation in the art of discernment and a wonderful experience of spiritual direction for six months. We invite you to attend one of the Samuel Group meeting locations this fall beginning: September 30, 1:30 pm-5:30 pm Rowan University, Newman House, Glassboro or October 7, 2 pm-6 pm Stockton University Campus Ministry Center, Pomona To register or for more information go to: http://www.camdendiocese.org/samuelgroup/ or email Sr. Dianna Higgins, FMIJ [email protected] or call Sr. Ann Kateri, CFR at 609-343-1545
KEEPING STUDENTS CONNECTED TO THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. Newman Connection’s High School Outreach Program keeps high school and college students connected to Catholic campus ministry.
THE CATHOLIC STRONG COMMITMENT WEEKEND!
During all Masses next weekend, we will invite all parishioners to join us in participating in the Catholic Strong Campaign. We ask you to consider a sacrificial gift to the campaign - one that is right for you. The Catholic Strong Campaign seeks to raise funds in addition to your support of the 2018 House of Charity- Bishop's Annual Appeal The response from our parishioners to date has been tremendous and humbling. However, it is only through the participation and support of every family that we can truly be successful. Each family is being asked to consider a small amount each month over a three to five year period. Pledging allows each of us the opportunity to make a sacrificial gift that will help to shape the Church we leave for future generations of Catholic families in our community.
SUGGESTED GIFT PLANS OVER 60 MONTHS: $250 per month given over 60 months equals $15,000!!!
$167 per month given over 60 months equals $10,000!!!
$100 per month given over 60 months equals $6,000!!!
$50 per month given over 60 months equals $3,000!!!
Thank you to all who have given to make our campaign a success.
Your gift to the Catholic Strong Campaign is greatly appreciated!
