The Rev. Dr. LeRoy Kettinger is our Camp 2012 evangelist. He lives in Auburn, New York with his wife, Wilma, to whom he’s been married for 49 years. They have four children: Kirk (Michelle) Kettinger, Kevin (Elsa) Kettinger, Valerie (Darby) Ransom and Janelle (Rudy) Tamez. He also has 13 grand-children with one more due in October. Pastor Kettinger has had a lifelong love for education. He has a doctor of ministry degree from United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio and has put it to good use. He has served as a senior pastor in Auburn, as well as in Dearborn, Michigan, at the
campus church for Seattle Pacific University in Seattle, Washington and Colum-bus, Cleveland and New Middletown, Ohio. He is also a former vice president, dean and professor at Roberts Wesleyan College in Rochester, New York. In addi-tion, he has also taught at Greenville College in Greenville, Illinois, Seattle Pacific University and Spring Arbor College in Spring Arbor, Michigan. Pastor Kettinger has also traveled and done extensive work in the United States, Canada and abroad as an educational consultant and religious program developer. He is a published author and writer for numerous publications. He also enjoys volunteering his time to work in many statewide organizations, often serving as president. For over 25 years, he has had a passion, as well, for the mission and vi-sion behind the Boy Scouts of America, Girl Scouts USA, Camp Fire and 4H, and has served in multiple roles. Currently, Pastor Kettinger is the president of Synergistics Corporate Training, LLC, which is a company that helps working adults complete their degrees by pro-viding corporate training in management, leadership, finance and business. He has been a camp meeting preacher and Bible teacher in several denominations in the United States and Canada for many years. Pastor Kettinger looks forward to sharing the message that God has placed in his heart for our 90th anniversary year and he sends his greetings to us all.
Say “Cheese”! It has been nearly 15 years since we had our last group photo taken at camp. To help mark this special mile-stone year, we are doing it again on Sunday, July 8 at 2:00 p.m. on the grounds. If you would like to purchase a personal-sized keepsake photo of the event, they will be sold for $12. Proceeds benefit the camp.
