SIRSI SERIALS CONTROL TRAINING

Prerequisite: Intro to Workflows

GOAL AND CONTENT:

The main goal of SIRSI serials control is “to managereceipt and status of the library’s serial collection.Additionally, the Serials Control Configuration policies areused to gather statistics about control records, as well as fortracking claims and claim responses. The Serial PatternConfiguration polices are used to create and modifypattern templates used for receiving serials. The SerialGroup of reports are used to maintain and gatherstatistics about the serials collection.” (Unicorn WorkflowsSerials Control Training Guide, pg.3)

Accessible from both Serials Control and Cataloguing Decisions need to be made about how or whether NEOS

will use some of these fields
