Principal’s Report Fete

The P&C Fete was a great success on Friday. Thank you to everyone who supported our school by attending this lovely afternoon/ night. Thank you must go to Alison for all her hard work in pulling the event together, to the community members and organisations who operated stalls/ stands and to the volunteers who gave up their time to make the fete so memorable. I know the students took great delight in ‘dunking’ Preston, Peter and myself!!!

Student Reports

Staff is busily writing Semester Two student reports which will be issued at the end of this week. If you wish to discuss your child’s report with their teacher please do not hesitate to contact the office to arrange an appointment.

Celebration Assembly

I am really looking forward to next Monday’s Celebration Assembly. This is a very prestigious day on the school calendar. This is our opportunity to recognise our student’s achievements and progress this year. I hope to see many parents, grandparents and community members support our students and school by attending this event.

Radford

Last week George, staff and students from Radford College joined us. Over the coming weeks more students and collegians will continue to visit. This is always an enjoyable time for our students and the students from Radford.

Christmas Concert

Last week our students participated in the end of year Christmas Concert hosted by the scripture teachers. A big thank you to our scripture teachers for organising this fun event and for their continued support of our school.

School Self Evaluation

This is the time in the year when we start to reflect on this year’s achievements. To support this reflective process I am asking for your feedback on areas of school operation and student achievement. Please find attached a parent survey for you completion. The feedback you provide assists the school to make informed decisions on strengths and areas for further development to support future school planning for improved student learning. I would really appreciate your support in this process.

Last weeks

Over the last two and a half weeks of this term there are a number of events planned. Please take the time to read the upcoming date’s column. Also be on the lookout for permission notes in your child’s bag.

I look forward to another very busy but enjoyable fortnight at Tingha Public School.
